Linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer and It's Monday! What are You Reading? hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. In Sheila's absence, share your Monday post on twitter #IMWAYR.
I took a pile of photos of my granddaughter a week or so ago and I'm so happy with how they turned out although I did mess up a bit with the outdoor photos. It's been a while since I've had my camera out, I really have to pick the time with my hands the way they are and it takes me longer to do anything on the laptop but, I'm smiling now :)
I did the photo collage straight from Lightroom with the Social Media Collage Templates a fantastic new tool designed by Taylor Mathis (his food photography will have you drooling.) Check out Taylor Mathis Photography and Taylor Takes a Taste.
Best laid plans, I was going to be super organised and get this post up Sunday night but we had Mia for a sleepover instead lol.
#FitReaders Weekly Check-In
#FitReaders co-hosted by Felicia @ Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and Jen @ That’s What I’m Talking About. FitReaders is a great way to stay motivated, accountable and it's more fun having bloggy friends to check in with. If you also have a fitbit and want to add me, let me know :)
Much better week, still not quite back to target but very close. Thanks to Jen for the much needed kick-along with motivation. Monday which is usually a very sedentary day blogging I set the timer and every hour I walked the hallway and up and down our flight of stairs. I could have done the same on Friday while I was editing photos but my hands were not happy and all my energy went to getting the job done. Bella says thank you too Jen ... she's happy she finally got a few walks :)
Fitbit Steps:
Mon: 8665 steps
Tue: 7131 steps ~ walk with Bella
Wed: 10,154 steps ~ walk with Bella
Thurs: 11,064 steps ~ walk

Sat: 6092 steps

Love the many faces you captured of Mia. Gorgeous. Sorry to hear your hands are still painful, must be so difficult. Brandie's review had me wanting to read Eight 100 Grapes too. Chuckling at comment of One in a Million, still have it to read! The Guest Cottage was good, I liked it too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathryn. I haven't started Eight Hundred Grapes yet but I'm looking forward to it, most of the reviews I've seen are positive. I have a diagnosis with my hands now so I guess that's something but will hopefully know more regarding prognosis when I see neurologist in July.
DeleteBeautiful photos of Mia! Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat. You too :)
DeleteGlad you had a good week! I've seen several positive reviews of Eight Hundred Grapes, that one sounds very nice. Looks like a good read.
ReplyDeleteBrandie and I have similar taste so I'm confident I'll enjoy it!
DeleteCute pictures! She is growing up so fast! I hope your hands feel better this week. I'm glad you were able to get some walking time in.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to hearing your thoughts on The Canterbury Sisters and Eight Hundred Grapes. I have that one for review and I'll get around to it eventually.
Thanks Christina and she sure is, I can't believe she's 1 in just 2 weeks. Hope you enjoy Eight Hundred Grapes too :)
DeleteShe is just soooooooooooooo ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know right LOL ... Nonna's have to be biased :))
DeleteCute, cute pictures! I love her little 'Pebbles' hairstyle. You do know Pebbles, right? I'm so sorry about your hands. Such a literal pain for you. Here's hoping this week will go better in that regard. I want to read The Guest Cottage soon.
ReplyDeleteI do know Pebbles lol ... you're right. I can't manage to do her hair, too fiddly for me, her mum is the expert. Hope you enjoy The Guest Cottage, I did.
DeleteI didn't know Honey Brown had a new novel out. Must check it out. And those photos are amazing - they look like they were professionally done!
ReplyDeleteRelease date is 1st August, it's a departure from her usual. And thanks so much Deb, that's my dream. I was really happy with these but still so much to learn :)
DeleteWonderful photos! I love all the different expressions.
ReplyDeleteand YEA!! I'm so glad I helped motivate you!! I liked my suggestion for you so much that I also did it when I was at work this week. I like the silent alarm feature on the Fitbit (Flex) and used that - I got up and walked about for 5 minutes every 60-75 minutes. It makes a difference not only physically, but the mental break helped keep me refreshed. Let's do it again this week!!
Yay!! you're on Jen :) Worked well yesterday and I'm just about to get stepping again to hit my target for Tuesday. Will check in midweek!
DeleteMia is gorgeous in those photos! Great poses....you captured her personality so well. Enjoy her....
ReplyDeleteI loved Eight Hundred Grapes...and have been eyeing The Canterbury Sisters. Have a great week! Thanks for visiting my blog.

ReplyDeleteI didn't realize YOU took those photos of Mia!! You are so talented! My thought was that they were from a professional session, and I never realized you were the professional. :) They are beautiful!
Great job on the steps!
lol Brandie, that's music to my ears, it's my dream to be a professional photographer, taking photos of little bubs is what makes my heart sing!!

Thanks Lisa, she's my favourite little person to photograph. I'm making the most of it. My boys hated having their photos taken lol
DeleteThat last one is my fav :) Supercute
ReplyDeletelol it shows her cheeky personality :)
DeleteWhat a great idea to set a timer and take a break by walking! I just may use it at work. Mia is so adorable. She looks tall, is she? Sorry about the pain you've been in. I overdid it with Cole over the weekend and have had to lay low until this evening. Have a great week.
ReplyDeletethe timer thing is working for me so far Nise`. Mia's in the 90th percentile for height so yes I guess she is tall and only 30th percentile for weight so she's a bit of a string bean lol. Can't believe Cole is 1 already, they are a joy aren't they!
Deletelol Felicia, she cracks me up :)
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful grandma!
