Teaser Tuesday

MizB of Should Be Reading hosts this cool weekly event. Grab your current read. Let the book fall open to a random page. Share (2) “teaser” sentences from that page. Share the title & author of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR list if they like your teaser. Please avoid spoilers! "Don't you think you drink too much?" said Kitty to him boldly. "It's my great pleasure in life," he answered. "Besides, it keeps the cholera out." page 87 ~ The Painted Veil by W Somerset Maugham This month on The Eclectic Reader you could win Frostbitten by Kelley Armstrong OR The White Queen by Philippa Gregory OR Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink. Check this blog post for details. International entrants welcome.

  19. Hi Teddy,

Here's my teaser from p. 15 of Elizabeth Hoyt's TO BEGUILE A BEAST.

Two weeks ago, Helen wouldn't have even let them (meaning her children) touch something that dusty.
But the, two weeks ago, she'd still been the Duke of Lister's mistress.

    She hooked me there!
    Best,
    Emily

  20. Thanks for sharing Em, I have To Beguile a Beast waiting for me too.

Painted Veil is moving slowly, not because it's not good but because I'm dying from the flu, so will hopefully look at it thru non-flu hazed eyes next week!
