Teaser Tuesday
MizB of Should Be Reading hosts this cool weekly event. Grab your current read. Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share (2) “teaser” sentences from that page. Share the title & author of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR list if they like your teaser. Please avoid spoilers!
THE E-MAILS ALWAYS began the same way.
Hi Auden!!
It was the extra exclamation point that got me. My mother would call it extraneous, overblown, exuberant. To me, it was simply annoying, just like everything else about my stepmother, Heidi.
Something a little bit different, page 1, the first paragraph of Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen
To celebrate my 1st Blogoversary two lucky readers can take their pick from a choice of 6 books in this month's spookalicious competition. Check this blog post for details. International entrants welcome.

Some stepmothers do deserve an exclamation point, it seems. Here's my: Teaser
ReplyDeletePoor Heidi. I feel sorry for her already and I don't even know anything about her. Nice teaser.
ReplyDeleteI can relate... once someone gets under your skin it seems everything they do is just plain annoying!
ReplyDeleteCome on over and get teased ;)

Happy Tuesday, Miranda
A very intersting way to view an exclamation point as I generally assume happiness. I'm a glass is half-full kinda girl :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool teaser!
Well, sounds like an interesting step-relationship. Great teaser! Here's mine.
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser, I already feel for Heidi.
ReplyDeleteMine is here: http://rundpinne.blogspot.com/2009/10/casting-off-teaser-tuesdays.html
Hmmm, I tend to use more than one exclamation point in my emails. I hope I am not annoying anyone. :)
ReplyDeleteGood teaser!
Poor Heidi and that wicked stepmother! Sounds like an intriguing story with family dynamics galore.
ReplyDeleteMy teaser is at http://laurel-rain-snow.blogspot.com/
Great teaser. Makes me want to know more about Heidi and her stepmother. Is she really this evil person or is Heidi just creating drama?
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser. I really want to read this book one of these days. My teaser is here.
ReplyDeleteHow funny to see the view point of the extra exclamation point from the other side. When I'm really excited about something I'll sometimes use 2 or 3 but never really thought about how annoying that could be to someone not so excited or happy.
ReplyDeleteMy teaser is here!! ;)
Interesting teaser - I think we all know someone like that. I have this book on my library tbr pile and can't wait to have time to read it.
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser! I wonder what the stephmother wanted to say.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to think twice when tempted to use additional exclamation points today ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser!
Here's my Teaser Tuesday.
