It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from One Persons Journey Through a World Of Books to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I never seem to be organised enough to post about what's happening in our life on Sunday so I include it in my Monday post, if you just want to skip to the book stuff go right ahead.

What a busy week, we had family here for the first 3 days of the week which was ... busy. We went to the movies to see The Karate Kid which was great, I actually enjoyed it more than the original. Thursday was my baby girl's birthday (she'd be 20 now) and Friday the anniversary of her death. Cal insisted on introducing Bella to Taleah which was very sweet but I think Bella was more interested in our Subway lunch than saying hello. Friday, Cal and I spent the day with Alaine and her boys relaxing and just catching up, which was nice.

I love school holidays but sadly they're at an end, Cal goes back to school this week. While we haven't done a lot, Callum has been such good company, I think he's missed his brother who's been working away. We've had lots of fun with darling Bella now that she's so much better and her hair is regrowing and she's getting a hairy chest LOL. Soccer continues through the holiays but I love not having to do everything on a tight schedule. This week I'm hoping to read, review and scrapbook.

You had a busy week, and your reads have intrigued me to maybe venture into an unusual genre for me.

  25. So glad that Bella is better, she looks like a real sweetheart, too cute! It's still summer break here, for almost another month. Not that the kids haven't been going to school everyday anyway. Patrick just finished driver's ed., Kirsten goes 4 days a week to cheer camp (sometimes twice a day), and Kris's class isn't over until the first week in August. It's been an incredibly busy summer for us and I'm kind of looking forward to the schedule of the regular school year. It will be almost a relief to get back to normal, lol.

Sheree, you should see my dog, lol, he's running around the living room chasing a fly!! LOL He ran smack into the wall, got up and chased it down the hall. Hope Bella is smarter.

    ((hugs sweetie))

    Dottie :)
