It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from One Persons Journey Through a World Of Books to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. Thanks Sheila.

I got two books read last week, Still Missing was absolutely brilliant, my review will be up this week. Alaine and I had another scrapping day and Bella and Cindy had a play date.  And soccer update: Callum's Premier Youth soccer team finished 5th, they had to win their last 2 games but only won one. Boys were disappointed that there will be no semi-finals for them this year but they have another two years in this division as many teams consist of 18 year olds, so they've done extremely well. My dad came to watch Cal's last game as it was played on Father's Day.

Click on the title to see my reviews for:

STOLEN by Lucy Christopher ~ incredible, incredible!

DAMAGED by Pamela Callow ~ good debut suspense/thriller

***********

Completed last week:

STILL MISSING by Chevy Stevens ~ 5 stars, absolutely brilliant, very moving!

THE NEUROLOGY OF ANGELS by Krista Tibbs ~ 4 stars

************

This Week's Reading List:

DESTINED FOR AN EARLY GRAVE by Jeaniene Frost - page 45

LIVING DEAD GIRL by Elizabeth Scott

************

THE CHOSEN ONE by Carol Lynch Williams (this week)

THE LIES WE TOLD by Diane Chamberlain

SAVING MAX by Antoinette van Heugten

Don't think my review will be quite as enthusiastic as yours though.

    Enjoy your week!

  8. I'm more behind than you are if that helps! :) I really enjoyed Living Dead Girl - it was kind of like watching a train wreck - so engaging you couldn't tear away from it even though it made my stomach churn at points.

  18. I enjoyed The Lies We Told; http://rannthisthat.blogspot.com/2010/06/review-lies-we-told-by-diane.html but am curious how other people view the ending. I was disappointed in Saving Max--I was looking more for a book about dealing with Autism that a medical thriller.

  19. I'm currently reading Susan Lewis' The Choice.
Looks like you had a week of some great reads :)
Uh, Stolen is written by Lucy Christopher and not Christopher Lucy..

  20. A nice list of books! I read "Stolen," but mine was by Jordan Gray and a cozy mystery!

Have a great reading week! I'm a new follower, by the way! Love your blog!

  21. I also reviewed Stolen this past week, and agree with a lot of your review! The complexity of Ty's character also kind of messed with my head - it was like I was almost rooting for him, but then I'd remember the whole situation and go, "No, of course not, Gemma has to get out of there!" Also, I *adored* that camel...felt so sorry for it!!

  26. Thanks for your comments! As for how to make a spoiler 'invisible' - just highlight the words you want hidden, and change the text color (click on the "A" with the drop-down menu at the top of the post) to the background color of your post (my blog background is white so I chose white). Then it should automatically show up when you highlight! I'm not an HTML expert, but if you wanted to know the HTML code specifically, you can switch to the "Edit HTML" tab - the code should have appeared around the desired text after you've changed the text color. Hope that helps! :)

  27. Still missing has been on my list for some time now and with that review you make me want to pick it up now! I'll have to see if I can squeeze it in somewhere. :o)

And Living Dead Girl...I hope you love it! I've been wanting to read it as well.

Have a fabulous reading week and thank you so much for stopping by my site earlier!

  28. My copy of Mockingjay seemed to take forever to arrive, too! I pounced on it when it finally got here on Friday.

Living Dead Girl is very good but very disturbing - a haunting book.

    Enjoy your books this week!
