The Last 2011 Challenges *seriously*

I did 17 Challenges in 2010 so I'm trying to be a little more selective this year and not be swayed by gorgeous buttons! I have been known to sign up for a challenge just because the button is too cute to resist LOL. With that in mind, I think these 3 challenges bring my total to 8 in 2011, not a bad effort in curtailing my challenge OCD :)

Nic @ Irresistible Reads is hosting an Aussie YA reading challenge. Nic and Nomes @ Inkcrush are passionate about Aussie YA and I'm dying to read some of the YA titles that I've seen reviewed on their blogs. Head on over to Irresistible Reads to join up.

Australian participants - Read at least 12 young adult books by Australian authors from 1st January, 2011 to 31st December, 2011.

International participants - Read at least 6 young adult books by Australian authors from 1st January, 2011 to 31st December, 2011.

They can be old or new titles, however no re-reads.

It is open to everyone. You don’t have to be a blogger but you MUST POST A REVIEW. Reviews can be posted anywhere - Blogs, Goodreads, Shelfari or non-bloggers can even do a guest post on a blog like mine.

You can join anytime. The challenge runs from 1st January 2011 to 31st December, 2011.

I failed this one in 2010 so I can't resist having another go this year and besides I have heaps of great Aussie author books waiting patiently on my bookshelves. And of course the button is cute :)

Head on over to Booklover Book Reviews to sign up.

Challenge period: 1 January 2011 - 31 December 2011

Objective: Read and review books written by Australian Authors - physical books, ebooks and audiobooks, fiction and non-fiction!

Challenge Levels: TOURIST or TRUE BLUE!

TOURIST - Read and review 3 books by 3 different Aussie Authors

TRUE BLUE - Read and review 12 books by Australian authors (at least 9 different authors)

Here is the basic information:

• Should you choose to participate in this challenge, your goal is to read at least twelve (12) audiobooks (no matter the length). Twelve is the minimum to be entered in the Grand Prize at the end of the Year.

• Of course anyone can join. You just have to live on the planet earth, (meaning, this is an international challenge and contest) and you need to have either a blog where you can post your Reviews, or you need publish your review anywhere else, goodreads, LibaryThing, amazon, Barnes & Nobles, audible, etc etc etc...

• Important: When you post your Review you have to say that you listened to the audiobook version of the book, who was the narrator, the length of time the audiobook ran and your separate rating/impression for the audiobook (how you liked the narration of the story beyond what you thought of the story itself). This can be at the end of your regular review, just like this example here.

The challenge runs from January 1st to December 31st, 2011.
