It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. Thanks Sheila :)

Thinking positively, this week when I finally stop coughing I plan to do some scrapbooking and cardmaking, (hopefully Alaine will manage a day too.) I did make the card below for my sister because it's the anniversary of mum's death on Thursday.

I've now been coughing for almost a month, consumed 2 bottles of codeine based cough suppressant, 3/4 bottle of the vilest herbal cough relief that was ever invented *gag* and 1/2 bottle of a chinese cough syrup which doesn't taste too bad but hasn't done much either, had enough ventolin and seretide to give me a serious case of the jitters, so .... back to the Dr's again today *grrr*. Ok pity party over and on to reading lol.

Feel better, I have been coughing that long also, have a few good days and this weekend has made me think I need to call the Dr again also :-( I don't know what is going on with the string of cold/flu this year. Sigh

  2. I will have to read your review of Stay. I just finished it myself yesterday and really liked it. It is the first book by Deb Caletti that I managed to finish. I tried reading two others that I couldn't get into but this one had me on the edge of my seat at times.

I hope that you feel better soon! Persistent coughing can be a pain.
I've got a sore throat myself but it gave me an excuse to read this weekend and drink lots of tea :) Hopefully your doctor will be able to prescribe something else that will help you more.

  3. At least it's good weather to stay in bed and read. Hopefully the Dr will be able to give you something else that will help. Yes some scrapbooking would be good.

  13. I do hope you'll be able to shift that cough soon! I've had colds where coughs lasted for up to three weeks, but yours sounds worse than that.

You made a really nice card for your sister.
