Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Series: Animal Magnetism #1
Publication Date: 1st February 2011
Pages: 295
Book Source: Borrowed from Karen

Synopsis: Co-owner of the town's only kennel, Lilah Young has lived in Sunshine, Idaho, all her life. Pilot-for-hire Brady Miller is just passing through. But he soon has Lilah abandoning her instincts and giving in to a primal desire.

It's Brady's nature to resist being tied down, but there's something about Lilah and her menagerie that keeps him coming back for more.

My Thoughts:

I can't thank my friend Karen enough (remember Karen? ... gushing Jill Shalvis guest reviews ring a bell?) for nagging raving enough to finally have me picking up a Jill Shalvis novel. Wow have I been missing out!

The ultimate feel-good, steamy, set-the-mattress-on-fire escapism. What Bones did for me in the vampire world, Brady does for me in the 'real' world ... well a girl can dream lol.

Team hot guys with cute animals and I'm sold. Ex-military freelance pilot Brady and his foster brothers Dell and Adam are off-the-scale sexy. Dell runs the vet clinic at Belle Haven and Adam is the search & rescue trainer - nothing brings a smile to my face quicker than watching a tough alpha male go 'soft' over animals. Brady putting Abigail the duck on notice and being bested by his dog Twinkles had me laughing out loud.

Lilah Young runs Sunshine Kennels, she's a tough cookie with a soft heart and a penchant for dogs, cats, a pot-bellied piglet, and animals in general. Actually, if it wasn't for Brady's delicious abs, the chemistry and smokin sex between Lilah and Brady, the menagerie of adorable animals might have stolen the show.

The perfect combination of sweet, sexy and hot, if you're after a romance that gives you warm fuzzies, makes you laugh, tear up and sigh then Animal Magnetism is definitely for you.

Cover: Cutest ever!

Jill writes the funniest blog and posts plenty of eye candy on her facebook page if you're in need of a Monday morning pick-me-up lol

  2. Sheree...I think we could start a Jill Shalvis support group lol....she writes the most delicious men and Animal Magnetism is by far my favourite of her novels...I think it stands out above the others for me purely because of the added adorableness (is that even a word!) of the animals and how they suck Brady right in.

p.s. this cover reminds me of Bella for some reason
