A
weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read
and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme ... thanks
Sheila :)
So how did last week stack up? - not so great
I'm annoyed that a book I was really looking forward to stole a week of my reading time. Our fridge/freezer died and dumped litres of muck onto the kitchen floor, our main bathroom glass shower screen cracked (bloody gremlins again) and my prescription sunglasses that I lost while also missing my bus stop engrossed in a Jill Shalvis book came into OPSM and were promptly returned as they didn't pass quality control ... neither do my eyes - I really need my glasses!!!
It was Father's Day on Sunday and Cal's last game of soccer for the season. No doubt he will keep up the gym work and training for next season but our weekends are free until Feb next year! I made 7 male cards last week for birthdays and Father's Day while listening to The Maze Runner on audio - cool book and great narrator :)
Today makes 3 weeks of brisk walking with little Bella, I'm up to 30 minutes which equates to 2.5km, 3 sometimes 4 times a week ... I'm feeling very virtuous and beginning to actually like it ... never thought I'd say that!
Some of you
may know Stacy @ Stacy's Books. Stacy's lovely, she hosts Tuesday
Quizzes ... book related quizzes that are creative,
challenging, sometimes frustrating but always loads of fun. There's prizes too - pop over
tomorrow and join in :)

Did we somehow switch homes? Your bizarre problems sound too familiar! I hope you have a gremlin free week.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book this week was Strangers on a Train by Patricia Highsmith. Please come see what I'm reading now.
I hope this weeks is much better for you!

Great Fathers' Day cards! I'm not sure what to read this week. After looking at your choices, maybe I'll go for a Monica McInerney, hmmm...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great week of reading! I loved The Maze Runner and really need to start the second book soon. On the non-bookish things you have my sympathy as we came down this morning to find our fridge/freezer has packed up too!
ReplyDeleteHere's what I've been reading!
I had started out the month of August trying to walk at least 10,000 steps every day and was doing great until I got sidelined for medical reasons. I'm hoping to get back to it in the next week or so - when I was doing it, I was feeling great and even managed to lose a little weight.
ReplyDeleteLove the cards you made!
Have a great week!

What a horrible week for you! This week is bound to be better, don't you think? Your reading list looks great...enjoy! And thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteWe both had horrible reading weeks. Misery loves company, lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
Hope this week goes better for both of us.
What a full week you had, even with the not-so-good. I'm always annoyed when a books steals time that I could have spent reading something else that I could have enjoyed, too :)
ReplyDeleteI'm off to read your reviews. We STILL don't have The Maze Runner here, and it's been on my to-buy list for a long time. Maybe this week I'll finally get it in (we're still reading The Red Pyramid together right now)
Enjoy your reading week!
Not a good week for you :/ Let's hope that this one is better
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - having your fridge go out is TERRIBLE. Such a pain and then its a huge mess to clean up too. Oye. I've been there and its not fun. :/
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful reading week friend from Australia :)
