It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Update

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme ... thanks Sheila :)

I was going to do The Sunday Salon (for the first time) yesterday and talk about my 4 years of blogging and post a cool giveaway to say thanks to all my bloggy friends but I'm in a bit of a funk and couldn't find the inclination. A family friend in Toowoomba lost her battle with cancer last week, I'm so glad I saw her again the week before but her funeral is this week. My heart hurts for her family, Cal and I are really going to miss her and the loss makes me miss my mum even more.

So, long story short ... I'll post when or if I feel like it and if I don't then just know how much I appreciate all of you who visit my blog and especially those I've formed close friendships over the years and across the miles :)

This is a another layout I did at the Daisy Chain Scrapbook charity day,
it's my take on a layout I love of Heather Jacob's.
