A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme ... thanks Sheila!
Last week I did some blog visiting, posted 2 book reviews and particpated for the 1st time in The Sunday Salon & Weekend Cooking with a delicious Panang Curry recipe and audiobook post. Check it out ~ 'Pinning', Cooking & Audiobooks.
In other news Callum is off to Banff, Canada in 10 days time, he's having his first overseas holiday as an adult (without parents eek!) Of course he's delirious with excitement and I'm just a little green with envy and worry (I mean he's only 18 and it's only the other side of the world lol) but I'm sure he'll have a fantastic time with his best mate. Any of my bloggy friends from Banff??

I posted reviews for: (click on title)
CREWEL by Gennifer Albin
THE LAST BOYFRIEND by Nora Roberts ~ Inn Boonsboro #2
Hoping that THE GILDED LILY by Deborah Swift arrives in the mail this week. The book tour for it is towards the end of the month but I get a bit stressed reading under pressure.

Reviews Coming:
STILL ALICE by Lisa Genova (audiobook)
MAGIC HOUR by Kristin Hannah (audiobook)
I hope your son has a fantastic time in Canada! I've never been to Banff but my Canadian relatives said it was really pretty.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to hearing what you think of Crewel. I've heard lots of really positive things about it so I'm hoping I will like it too.
Have a great week!
I am sure your son will have a great trip. Love the Boonsboro Inn series! I am waiting for the third book to arrive.
ReplyDeleteHope you get the book you are waiting for!
ReplyDeleteHope he has lots of fun. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading this week :) And I am sure he will have a great time and be home in any time
ReplyDeleteYour son will have a fantastic time. Travel is always good for the soul. Or so they say.
ReplyDeleteHere's my It's Monday! What Are You Reading?! I hope you will stop by!
I hope he has a fabulous trip! I have only been to Toronto ... but I hear Banff is beautiful!! I grew up on a street named Banff, does that count?? *wink* :)
ReplyDeleteI visited Banff when I was a teenager. It was so gorgeous! I have been to Canada only a couple of times since...the closest I got in the last decade was to Seattle, where I am reminded of the proximity.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you posted in Sunday Salon...I love that little meme, even though I don't find as many blogs to visit.
I have only read the first book in the Boonsboro series, but I enjoyed it. Must hurry on to the next two!
Have a great week....
Here's MY MONDAY MEMES POST
I just finished reading The Perfect Hope - book 3 in Nora Roberts' Inn Boonsboro series and I loved it. The Last Boyfriend was really good, too!
ReplyDeleteI'll be looking forward to reading your review of Magic Hour - that's one of her books I haven't read yet.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my blog!

Glad you liked The Summer Before the Storm too. And I need to get to The Light Between Oceans.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read what you thought about Still Alice :)
ReplyDeleteAwww.. so cool about your son's trip.. I hope you survive it ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week!
I feel your pain. My kids have traveled, 1 went to Italy on a mission trip when she was 15. I worry the whole time, it's part of the MOM makeup!
ReplyDeleteI'm envious - Canada is my dream destination! The book I read last week -In Falling Snow- was actually written during a years writer in residence in Banff!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter was 11 when she went to Europe for three weeks without us for her gymnastics tour, and it was hard. I hope your son has a great time and try not to worry too much!
Have a happy reading week!
