It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Update

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme ... thanks Sheila!

A stressful week but we finished it on a good note seeing Flight & Gangster Squad at the Drive-In which is always fun as we can all go, even Bella. We had power fully restored after 4 days, fridge and freezers cleaned out, roof tarped, clean up almost finished and now we just have the wait for repairs to roof, ceiling and pool.

I've got behind with all things blog related while our weather situation took precedence, unavoidable but I don't cope well with reading/reviewing under pressure so please bear with me while I get back on track.

  1. I've never gone through a damaging storm before but I'm glad your family is okay and I hope that everything will get back to normal for you soon.

I've heard good things about Hysteria and Somebody to Love looks like a nice lighthearted story.

  3. Good to hear that you are getting things back to normal after the storm damage. How cool that you still have a drive-in movie. Our last one closed down a few years ago. I am going to read my frist Kristan Higgins book soon! Have a great week.

  7. What a creepy cover for Hysteria! I have that scheduled for review on Tuesday and I actually find it pretty fitting although maybe a bit scarier than the story actually is?

  8. One of my fondest childhood memories is going to the drive-in with my family, I remember going to see The Wombles, ET and I remember Flashdance coming on after ET I think but we left not long after the movie started because of the language (I was still fairly young!).

So glad you are getting back on track after all that dreadful weather. I'm so far behind in my blogs and FB not sure I'll ever get on top of it. And working full-time at the moment is really interfering with my reading time!

  9. I've never been to a Drive In, I've never heard of one here in the UK for that matter, so I must admit I am quite jealous.

You've some great picks by the looks of it.

I hope you enjoy your books this week :-)

  10. Oh, my, I'm amazed you got any reading done at all! You seem so matter-of-fact about the storm aftermath, but perhaps it happens so often you're used to it.

I love the sound of going to the drive-in movies. We haven't had one in our city for many years, but when my kids were young, we would pile them in the VW bus and off we'd go.

    A nice break!

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog. Hope this week is much better!

  11. Glad to hear things are getting back to normal after the storm...I know how stressful that can be!

I love Kristan Higgins - I have her newest book, The Best Man, on my shelf for a blog tour next month and I can't wait to get to it.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my blog!

  19. I'm sorry to hear of your weather damage, but I'm glad things are mostly okay. The most important thing is that you and your family are safe :)

  20. Sorry to read your house was damaged. I didn't realize from before it was that damaged. Losing power is bad enough! Glad you're all safe and sound though. Take it easy now for a while :)
