A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!
Hope everyone that celebrates is having a blessed Easter. We had a quiet, relaxing one after deciding not to go camping. I think our decision to stay home gave all other campers/holidayers the chance to have a semi-dry Easter break ... you can send choccies or pay me later haha.
We had a fun games night with friends and I've done some scrumptious cooking. I've been a slacker on my blog though, hope to pick up my act this week lol. Now for a lazy Easter Monday, blogging, commenting and waiting for Game of Thrones season 3 to stream from the US ... woohoo!!

I thought Web of Deceit is Howell's best. Yum, that strawberry cake looks delicious. I hope you enjoyed some chocolate to go with that!

Your food pics has distracted me and I'm hungry. Have a great reading and eating week!
ReplyDeleteGood food and good books, always a winning combination!
ReplyDeleteHave a good reading week,
kind regards
We didn't do anything special for Easter this year. But we've been clearing out our shed! What a mission! I'm taking a whole lot of books to the second hand bookshop, after years of hoarding. So hard to say goodbye to good friends, lol!
ReplyDeleteI feel like cake now.:P
I don't even really like cake, but your picture certainly looks tempting. Haha.
ReplyDeleteFlesh looks intriguing... I wonder if it is anything like I'm imagining. I hope we get a review once you've completed it!
I hope you have a lovely reading week :-)
We had a wonderfully quiet Easter as well. Love the cake, I'm slacking on recipes also and need to update really soon, just not enough hours some days. Have a good reading week.

We had a quiet Easter here too. Now I'm hungry after seeing that cake. LOL! Flesh looks like something I could read. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt's Monday
I can't wait to dive into Heart Like Mine! It's resting comfortably on Sparky, along with some other books I must read first (older ones & review books).
ReplyDeleteI think The Best of Us looks good, too. And Web of Deceit. Enjoy your week, and that coffee cake is making me salivate! lol
Thanks for visiting my blog, and enjoy your week.
Hmm...yummy! Want to come cook for me ;) Looks like a great week ahead-happy reading!
ReplyDeleteLady of Ashes is on my TBR list. It looks like a great read! Love the cover too.
ReplyDeleteTake a look at what I'm reading this week.
While I haven't read any of the books you mention, I recently read books by Susan Mallery and Kristan Higgins and loved them both. I hope you enjoy the ones on your list. Come see what I read last week at Inside of a Dog. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a laid back Easter. UGH, I am so sad, we gave up HBO to save money for daughter's upcoming wedding. So I have to watch Game of Thrones episodes a week late. Oh well. Hope it was awesome.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter ;D
ReplyDeleteOh yummy!! I want that food!!! Quit being a slacker, woman and get to it!! LOL!! Not really...I'm quite the slacker right now! I have a lot of stuff to do but no gumption to get it done!!
ReplyDeletehave a great week!
My husband works Sunday nights so I've decided to wait to watch Game of Thrones later in the week with him. It must be love! That strawberry cake looks awesome. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you think of Nameless. Although it seems just what I love about St. Crow's writing is what some readers don't love. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat coffee cake looks yummy, hope you got to eat that.
My reading week
I'm going to send you my address and YOU are going to send me some of that cheesecake ;) Deal? Deal! LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a great week chica!
Deal Jennifer ... but all care and no responsibility taken for mould growth or cake condition on arrival LMAO
DeleteYour post made me hungry! Looks like a yummy Easter.
ReplyDeleteYummy dessert. It has all of the ingredients I love!
ReplyDeleteyou watch GOT too! What did you think?
Thought GOT was a good but slow-ish start but season 2 was like that too. Love the way it builds. I haven’t read the books so I’m holding out hope that Joffrey gets a nasty ending this season haha
DeleteThe books were great but I wouldn't recommend reading them yet, because then you know what's coming. Read them once you're past the story, and you'll appreciate the great job they are doing with the story.
DeleteI thought the episode was slow too, but I think they have to set everything up first. I'm thinking episode 3 will be when the action really starts!
