Series: Soul Screamers #7
Publication Date: 1st April 2013
Pages: 377
Book Source: the awesome Harlequin Teen
Synopsis: What does it mean
when your school is voted the most dangerous in America? It's time to kick some
hellion butt...
After not really surviving her junior year (does "undead"
count as survival?), Kaylee Cavanaugh has vowed to take back her school from
the hellions causing all the trouble. She's going to find a way to turn the
incarnations of Avarice, Envy and Vanity against one another in order to
protect her friends and finish this war, once and forever.
But then she meets Wrath and understands that she's closer to the
edge than she's ever been. And when one more person close to her is taken,
Kaylee realizes she can't save everyone she loves without risking everything
she has..
My Thoughts:
377 pages of
hyperventilating awesomeness! Kaylee and the gang whippin' evils' ass ...
No spoilers
but this is the final book and you want to know I'm happy
... right? With All My Soul is the most fitting end to the
series I've loved from the beginning. Fitting ... not easy or trite or
convenient or without collateral damage but perfectly, fitting.
How 'bout I
quote from my review of books 5 & 6 and then give you the other juicy
details
- smorgasbord of undead and paranormal entities; Bean Sidhe's (banshees) Reapers, Hellions, Demons ... what an addictive bunch.
- twisty rollercoaster ride of drama, angst, excitement, romance and danger.
- love the dynamics of the group, the changes, their friendship and personal growth.
- none of the typical YA cliches.
Ira, Hellion of Wrath ... for an evil dude you're a pretty stand up guy unlike Avari and the other asshat hellions.
Sabine ... you grew on me
“That damn mara was an emotional ninja, sneaking up on your heart when
you least expected it.”
Tod ... still the coolest ever undead guy.
Rachel
Vincent you have a mean streak a mile wide but ooh I love it, this installment I even shed a tear (maybe two) but book 5, If I Die still has my heart. Intrepid readers, fear,
pain and suffering will be your new friend but With All My Soul is also clever
and smart and there's resolution and that my friends, is all I
was hoping for.
I am a happy
fangirl, well except for the part where I wave goodbye to Kaylee, Tod, Nash, Sabine, Emma and Sophie.
to quote the
best; "parting is such sweet sorrow" ... now what the
hell am I going to read *sob*
THE END
