Series: Die For Me #3
Publication Date: 7th May 2013
Pages: 405
Book Source: Own purchase
Synopsis: I will not lose another person I love. I will not let history repeat itself.
Vincent waited lifetimes to find me, but in an instant our future together was shattered. He was betrayed by someone we both called a friend, and I lost him. Now our enemy is determined to rule over France’s immortals, and willing to wage a war to get what they want.
It shouldn’t be possible, none of it should be, but this is my reality. I know Vincent is somewhere out there, I know he’s not completely gone, and I will do anything to save him.
After what we’ve already fought to achieve, a life without Vincent is unimaginable. He once swore to avoid dying—to go against his nature and forsake sacrificing himself for others—so that we could be together. How can I not risk everything to bring my love back to me?
My Thoughts:
Amy Plum has been blessed by the Cover Gods, that's what got me
started on this series (shallow I know) but thank goodness the content lives up
to all that cover goodness.
So, after the OMG cliffhanger ending that was book 2, I could
have dropped Amy Plum into hot oil (see now I'm shallow and sadistic) but oh
what sweet relief reading this final installment ... I am a happy little
Revenant lover :)
So what can I say without spoilers ... If I Should Die
culminates with the ultimate good vs evil battle, bardia vs numa, revelations,
twists and turns, more, more, more ancient lore, more vivid Paris descriptions
and eye-rolling sweet
romance. While the focus is still Kate and Vincent I loved that all the Revenants & Kate's family had
a bigger part to play.
Just the one *boo* for Amy Plum, Jules is a favourite of mine
and I missed his cheeky humour and lighthearted fun side, I wanted something
good for him. Come here Jules ... I'll give you a hug.
Overall, a completely satisfying end to an exciting
series.
PS French is sexy

haha that's funny Jaime, glad the cover got you to stop by for a visit. If you love YA paranormal I'm sure you'll love this series!
DeleteThis looks fun. I always have such a hard time with the 2nd book in a trilogy. My life is much improved if the 3rd book has already been written so I can get right on with the story.

The 2nd book was awesome Joy, well apart from the cliffhanger from hell ;)
DeleteDefinitely agree about the gorgeous covers-though I haven't read any of the books, I've enjoyed seeing their covers revealed and the beautiful designs as I click through posts.
ReplyDeleteOh these look like FUN!!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree, the covers are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss the first book review of this? I have book one on mt tbr somewhere and I was the same the cover really drew me in more then anything (eeek I know. Though why should we be ashamed, there is a reason why they invest in covers otherwise they would just be a dull colour with lettering right?).
ReplyDeleteWill make more of an effort to bump this up the reading list when I am back in the reading saddle again.
I loved loved loved your review of this one!! I also love that you picked it by the cover!! So I must get to reading this series for sure!
ReplyDeleteI still have to read the third book in this series. I have it sitting on my kitchen table!
