It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!

Well we got a little premature in our Dexter excitement, the final episode isn't til next week, consequently our Dexter party was postponed. Thanks to Blodeuedd for the heads up lol.

All three books on my reading list this week are Australian authors, looking forward to them.

  1. I haven't read many Australian authors though I did really enjoy Liane Moriarty's books that I've read (The Husband's Secret and What Alice Forgot). I'm glad when they are published in the U.S. but sometimes I find books from Australia or the U.K. on other blogs and they don't get published in the U.S. which is always kind of sad!

There is one you gave a rave review to earlier this year (I think historical fiction) that I really hope will be published here eventually. Fingers crossed. :)

I liked your review of The Returned and I hope to read it. Sounds like it would be a good book discussion book too.

    1. Thanks Christina, I'm pretty sure the book I raved about was The Wild Girl by Kate Forsyth, beautiful historical fiction. It comes to you Feb 2014, it's already available on book depository for pre-order ... I'm hoping you love it as much as I did :)
And yes The Returned would be a brilliant book discussion book!

  3. I love Dexter! I'm actually trying to hold off watching the final 3 episodes of the season so I can have a marathon session on finale night :-)

  4. I haven't read many Australian authors, but years ago I used to enjoy novels set in the outback of Australia - like A Town Like Alice, think it was serialised on our radio over here in NZ. Have put the Outback Dreams into my wish list.

  6. Dexter! I was convinced that Dr Vogel was the serial killer - my mind works in twisted ways... But the last few episodes have proven me wrong.

I'm finding myself frustrated with the way Dexter and Hannah are hiding yet NOT really keeping hidden. How dumb are they? But I'm also having fun watching this last season. :)

and great review of The Returned. intense book.

    Have a great week

  19. OK, I said that I won 2 books from my last quiz from you but maybe I didn't! I have written on a note in the book that I won March from you, but I think I could be wrong. I'm sure it won't be the last time!
