'Twas the Monday Before Christmas! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!

Everyone got their Christmas mojo on? Ready for eating, drinking and making merry, spending time with family and friends over the holiday break?? Both my boys and their partners will be here for Christmas and I'm excited about us spending time together.

... I have the big grocery shop to do today, Christmas cooking and wrapping gifts I made over the weekend. Can't wait to show you all but it will have to wait til after Christmas as my best friend reads my blog and I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise :)

Just in case you're not back visiting before Christmas - from my family to yours ... hope your Christmas or holiday celebrations are filled with much love and laughter, spent doing what you love ... with those you love xx

I'm doing Sheila's First Book of the Year 2014 (sign up here) but help me I can't make up my mind between these two  books ~ Me Before You by JoJo Moyes or Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell ... which one??

  4. Merry Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful time with your family :)

I loved Eleanor & Park. It is one of my favorites of 2013 and I highly recommend it. Me Before You may be my first read of 2014 if I can get a copy in time. One of my book groups will be reading it for our January book.

  7. Oh wow….did you hear my little squeal of delight all the way to your place!!! I'm very excited to win some new reading material. As much as I am an avid reader and my ENTIRE family knows this I never get books or vouchers for bookstores for Christmas so winning has been like Christmas coming two days early.

As for my recommendation for the two books selected, its hard to say because I've read great reviews for both. I'm personally more drawn to "Me Before You" and I'll be adding that one to my to-read list for the new year.
