It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!

I made a baby beanie for my granddaughter due in June (winter in Aus) and I've started a second one, which I hope turns out slightly bigger lol. I'm a newbie crocheter so after a number of false starts it was very satisfying to get a completed project.

#bookblogwalkers update #11: Felicia's Book Blog Walkers: I walked 6 days out of 7 but nothing exciting, just the usual 30-40mins in the 'hood'. I had to really push myself to do that when what I wanted to do was a new fun walk and test out my new camera. Summer is doing a last hoorah and it was just too darn hot and humid again. Fingers crossed for milder weather this coming weekend :)

  1. Love the beanie! I crochet beautifully in a straight line but cannot for the life of me work out how to turn corners! I really liked While We Were Watching Downton Abbey, hope you enjoy it too!

  2. Hope the weather cools off for you. We're starting to thaw out here a bit but we have a ways to go. Course in a few months I'll be complaining about the heat! :) Looks like you have some historical fiction reviews coming up that look interesting, will have to check those out. Have a great week!

  3. The beanie looks perfect. I used to crochet in a past life but nothing for years!
Yes I loved the Orphan Train on audio too. I saw the star award you gave for Enmity on Goodreads, I had to rate a different book the same, I hate doing it, but sometimes a book just doesn't work for me.

  7. I used to crochet, but I must admit I have forgotten everything...I'm pretty sure! My mother was a great crochet artist, creating lovely things. Your bonnet looks awesome...the baby will enjoy it, I'm sure!

I'm also impressed with your walking...even if you're not! LOL

Enjoy your week...and thanks for visiting my blog.

  14. I want to read Orphan Train and I liked While We Were Watching Downton Abbey.

The beanie is really cute! I am a novice at crochet and self-taught which means I don't really know what I'm doing!

I hope things warm up around here. Send the hot weather to Ohio! We could use it :)
