A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!
Scrapbook retreat this coming weekend so I'm not sure how much reading I'll fit in this week since I need to get organised, but I'm looking forward to catching up with friends and putting my creative hat on.
#bookblogwalkers update #20: Felicia's Book Blog Walkers: better than my 'meh' week last week but I'm still not feelin' the love. Truth is, I'm only going because Bella practically begs with her eyes ... the guilt gets me moving nearly every time (whatever works I guess lol)
I walked 3 days, 40 mins each day and Nise thanks for the friendly little kick ... right back at you ;)

THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES by Sue Monk Kidd (audiobook) ~ totally recommend this one, Jenna Lamia is a favourite narrator.
FOUR FRIENDS by Robyn Carr ~ loved it
THE MIDWIFE: A MEMOIR OF BIRTH, JOY AND HARD TIMES by Sandra Worth ~ well worth the read even if you've watched the TV series Call the Midwife.
I'd like to get hold of the Worth book. I read the Haddon book ages ago. Good one.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the scrapbook retreat. Do you quilt by any chance? I want to begin - mainly next year when I will go to a class, but thinking about messing around with it before that. Although that makes less time for reading. 3 x 40 min sounds good in my thinking! I thought The Witness was excellent on audio, in fact it just made it. Looking forward to seeing some scrapbooking results.
ReplyDeleteI'm certainly not someone who finds motivation for exercise easy...and yes the puppy dogs eyes are one of the things that can get me to lace up my shoes.
ReplyDeleteI need to get my hands on the Katie McGarry book because I really loved book 3 in that series. I also need to get out Echo in the Bone and brush up ready for MOBY's release....it seems to take forever for her books to come out but they are always worth the wait!!!
Can't wait to catch up at retreat xx
You had a great week, both in reading and walking!
ReplyDeleteHere's my It's Monday!
Those eyes would get me too!!! :)
ReplyDeleteNice book, Teddyree! I hope you enjoy The Invention of Wings as much as I (and my book club) did. I also have a copy of Ten Beach Road that I hope to get to soon--it's from the library and I keep renewing it. Watched the season ender of Call the Midwife last night. I really love that series and have to find a way to fill that void. I'm pretty sure I have the ebook that the series is based on, so I may resort to that.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and enjoy your scrapbooking retreat! Thanks for visiting my blog.
I loved The Witness...and Ten Beach Road. The new one is coming soon (Mermaid Point).
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week...and Bella does look very mournful, pleading with her eyes...LOL.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Have fun this weekend! I'm pretty sure I don't have a creative hat. Check out my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI started watching Call the Midwife but got so busy with school! Thankfully I'm out of school right now but I have so many other TV shows I want to watch I don't know how I'm going to fit it in. :( The book sounds great too. Maybe I should pick it up as well.

ReplyDeleteHave a great week :)
ReplyDeleteYour kicked helped me too! I was able to get out five days last week. Just brought home Four Friends. I chuckled at your West remark, it is so true. Hope he grows on me too. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy scrapbooking and happy reading this week. Billabong Blend- like that title!
