It's Monday and It's June! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!

Eek! Who can believe it's June already? Busy week this week with lots of family stuff happening and I've got just a little reading lined up lol. Malificent seems to be getting harsh reviews from critics but I loved it!! We had a girls' night out for a friend's birthday and we all loved it. Have you seen it? Are you going to?

#bookblogwalkers update #21: Felicia's Book Blog Walkers: I was sick mid week but did get in 3 days walking to finish May off on a much brighter note; YAY ME! and I'm fronting up again for June ... who's in?

Mon: 30mins neighbourhood walk with Bella
Tue:  45mins brisk shopping centre walk
Sun: 40mins walk on beach with Bella

With winter upon us the sun set at 5pm so our walk finished with this view and fish and chips. Love the fish & chip shop sign ... they got my vote with the fish, chips were ok.

  1. That is a lovely picture of the sunset! Winter for you means summer for me and it is starting to get hot.

That Wendy Wax series has caught my eye. They look like perfect books for summer reading.

I am glad you enjoyed The Invention of Wings. I liked Take Me On but it definitely was not my favorite book of the series though I did like it more than I thought I would. I am happy that the next book is about Echo and Noah again.

What a beautiful photo of the beach, and I would love those fish and chips, or french fries as we call them. Yum! Of course then I would have to join your blogwalker club, ha. And yes, I want to see Maleficent, with my daughter soon.

    1. lol Rita, I had a problem with my heart and wasn't able to exercise for 6+months so the bookblog walkers has been nice supportive way to ease back into gentle exercise. Hope you and your daughter enjoy Malificent.

    1. Thanks Kathryn, I'm much better now. Even though May wasn't a great month for me with the walking, I still like the incentive and support and 6 months participation will be an awesome accomplishment.

  7. I definitely want to go see Maleficent and I feel critics usually aren't that positive about fantasy (or sci-fi) films anyway! I still need to read up on the Pushing the Limits series, I've only read the first one, which I loved! I hope you enjoy your reads! My Monday post

  13. Nice group of books you've just finished and have lined up next. I loved The Invention of Wings and got a copy of Goodnight June at BEA last week. One of the highlights of BEA for me was meeting Jodi Picoult and getting a signed copy of her new novel,Leaving Time.

  15. Ooh, thanks for the reminder! I must get to Little Lies, as I'm expecting Little Mercies, too. And I have Goodnight June...must read soon, review books be damned! LOL

I adore fish and chips. When my eldest son came back from his semester in London, all those years ago, he showed me how it's done.

Enjoy your week..and oh, about Maleficent: I read that Angelina's daughter Vivienne is in it.
