It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!

Lovely visits with my darling granddaughter, she's 3 weeks old now. Thought you might like to see another photo haha ... like you get a choice ;)

1st selfie with nonna

My oven died (only a few days without baking and I missed it like crazy) but lucky we have an electrician in the family, my son installed a new Bosch oven ... hope it's a good choice. I'm getting behind on reviews again, so wish me luck playing catch up this week.

My thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of passengers and crew of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.

#bookblogwalkers update #27: Felicia's Book Blog Walkers: pretty poor effort last week, only walked 2 days ... must do better!! HA

I am glad you liked Code Name Verity. I also liked the companion novel, Rose Under Fire. Another emotional read.

    1. Thanks Kathryn, feeling very blessed and loving the time with Mia. YAY, I think you'll enjoy Thornwood House, consider the audio ... it's really good I promise. I want to get a hold of Swimming in the Dark by NZ author Paddy Richardson, I read a fantastic review, it sounds great. Have you read any of his?

    2. Sheree,
Actually never heard of Paddy Richardson - so must check him out. I will consider the audio of Thornwood - good to know it is worth going that way.

  6. Awesome picture, so nice you are enjoying time with the little one! Good luck playing catch up, I'm a little behind myself. :) The corduroy books are like comfort books, our kids had one or two of those too and they're just nice.

  11. Adorable photos! Thornwood house sounds really interesting. I liked The Collector, but then I haven't read The Witness..lol. I actually haven't read many Nora Roberts to really compare it so maybe that is why I liked it better than others. :) Happy reading!

  15. Hi Sheree,

Such lovely photos to treasure for ever. Enjoy every minute with her that you can, they are all precious.

I am liking the sound of the Diane Chamberlain book. I haven't read any of her work yet, however she was the very first author my mother-in-law downloaded to her Kindle, when we gave it as a birthday gift. She has since grabbed all Diane's books when they are available at bargain prices and as we have a joint account on hubbies credit card, her downloads are automatically forwarded to me at the same time .... Ooops! that's another 280 books and counting that I have never even looked at!! We don't appear to have 'The Escape Artist' archived, so I shall be certain to get MIL to keep a look out for it.

    Enjoy your books this week,

    Yvonne

  17. LOVE the selfie! Grandmas are the most loved person in any family so enjoy. Gage would rather spend every day playing with Grandma than wilth me. Could be that she lets him do whatever he wants, hmm? That's what grandmas are for :)
