It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!

Wow what a crazy week, hence being MIA from last week's Monday meme and my blog all week. Anthony, Christine and Mia moved to Chinchilla last Saturday, (approx 4 hours west of Brisbane) my son only found out about the move for work on Thursday so it was quite a rush. We helped with moving, cleaning and looking after my gorgeous granddaughter while they got settled in.

these smiles :)

This week will be all about catching up on reviews and visiting your blogs!

#bookblogwalkers update #30: Felicia's Book Blog Walkers: August is being hosted by Jen @ That's What I'm Talking About. With the crazy week and a lot of time in the car my fitbit steps dropped, so this week is all about averaging 8000 steps a day and walking with Bella.

Mon: helped clean the house my son's fam moved into ... what a work out!
Wed: 30 min walk
Sun: 45 min walk with Bella

  1. Wow that sounds like a crazy week! Can't believe your son wasn't given more notice but I'm glad everything got done in time and you got to spend some time with your granddaughter. Cute picture!

The Glass Kitchen looks good. If I remember correctly this is the one that was being compared to Sarah Addison Allen. I ordered a copy for my library and I look forward to your thoughts on it.

    Have a great week!

  4. Missed you from the blogosphere! Wow, that was a busy time, does that mean less time with 'she who is beautiful'?

Yay to the books - especially Detained. Hope you enjoy The Glass Kitchen. I loved The House on Mermaid Point. Do you think she has another one in mind for that series? Hope so.

  10. Love the expression on your granddaughter's face! She's thinking: "Oh, well, I'm comfy."

Are the kids closer to you now than they were? Or farther away?

Four hours isn't too bad, though, I'm that far from some of my kids.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
