It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!

As always a fun time at our scrapbook retreat, lots of laughs and creativity and wonderful catching up with friends but we missed Karen this time around (Karen also guest reviews on my blog.) I made 2 of each layout, one for myself and one for Mia's album :)

  4. Oh yes, scrapbook weekend I can see was a success. Gorgeous. Yes I loved Glass Kitchen, especially the ending! I am definitely going to check out more Diane Chamberlain. Enjoy your week - I must look up what a fitbit is! A little challenged by that one. All the walkers talk about it!

    1. The Glass Kitchen was obviously right book at right time, I seriously fell in love with it!! Fitbit is like a fancy pedometer that also measures sleep etc. I love it because there's a whole online community (if you want) using the fitbit app to encourage and motivate while keeping track of your stats and goals. Quite a few bloggy friends have fitbits so it's good friending people who already know that you're working on health or weight loss or whatever

  9. Hi Sheree,

At one time the craft shops and fairs had shelves and aisles filled with scrapbooking bits and pieces, but somehow it never really took off here in the UK and it is not often that you can find a good selection of materials these days. What seems to have gained in popularity here is the personalising of photo frames and cushion covers, both of which are big business!

I have been a big Barabara Erskine fan for years, although I haven't read 'The Darkest Hour' so I shall look forward to reading your thoughts about it.

The new to me author who caught my eye this week though, is Anna Romer. Both of her books to date sound like intriguing and interesting reads, destined for my Goodreads 'Want To Read' list I fear!!

Thanks for sharing and have a good week.

    Yvonne

    1. Regular scrapbooking is losing popularity here too Yvonne but it has been huge and personalised photo frames or cushions don't seem to be around. Project Life seems to be the next big thing ... we usually follow on from the US.

Have you read Lady of Hay? It's probably my all time favourite Barbara Erskine. Hope you get your hands on the Anna Romer books, I'm loving Lyrebird Hill, wonderful so far ...
