It's Monday! What Are You Reading?


A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila! 

On the Home Front: 
Dodgy week for book reviews and not much reading but on a good note I spent some time with a girlfriend and did a pile of photo editing and then put an order in for canvases while there was a terrific sale on. Can't wait to see some of my photos on canvas. It's hard to pick favourites from so many beautiful places but Eilean Donan Castle in Scotland was top of the list of favourite places to photograph.

I do have 2 reviews completed for book tours this week. Very unlike me to have posts scheduled in advance ... yay me :) and don't fall over, I might even try and get an audiobook review post done for the weekend (no pressure lol)

 Friday was our standing 'Scandal' date and then we had Mia for a sleepover, I love that it's become a regular thing. Mike and I have so much fun with her. She's now climbing and moving like a little demon :)

THE LAST TIME WE SAY GOODBYE by Cynthia Hand (audiobook) ~ a departure from Cynthia Hand's usual, very moving. 

LEAVING HOME by Jodi Picoult (audiobook) ~ three short pieces on the subject of leaving home. 

THE TUDOR VENDETTA by C.W. Gortner (The Spymaster Chronicles #3) ~ enjoyed it and surreal to be visiting Westminster, walking London and Southwalk while reading this one.

      Just got the first canvas back (London Bridge) and it's even better than I expected, very excited about getting the rest! Isn't it a wonderful age, everything is so new and exciting for them no matter how ordinary :)

    I am extremely jealous that you have a Colleen Hoover book on your read list for next week...if you run out of time I'll happily read it on your behalf!

    Struggling to keep up with work and kids at the moment so I'm a little behind on my reading too.

    Love the pictures and the video of Mia. Glad you got to spend some time with her :)

    My sister and her husband are in the UK now and she's been sending me pictures of her travels. They are also going to Scotland but only to Edinburgh.

    It is nice when you are able to write reviews ahead of time isn't it? I was able to write two over the weekend which doesn't usually happen for me either!

      Very lucky getting to spend time with my granddaughter every week, she is such a little darling! Ooh I'd be back in the UK tomorrow if money grew on trees and I could take my whole family with me lol. We we had 2 nights in Edinburgh.

    So many things I love about this post! Your pictures are incredible. Wow!

    It's so sweet that Mia gets to spend the night with you. I know how much it means to me when my parents keep our daughter for sleepovers twice a month. We got a date night Friday night thanks to them!

    CONFESS!! You can only imagine how happy seeing that on your line up makes me. :) Lol. I hope you enjoy! Happy Reading!

    Your photos are beautiful. I love that castle, we have been there a couple of times and it always feels magical. I am reading the Liane Moriarty at the moment on my kindle, I am enjoying it, I hope you get into it more. Happy reading :)

    What fun to watch the video of Mia...none of this technology was around for my kids, but for the grandkids, yes.

    Your book week looks great, too...I enjoyed The Last Anniversary and hope to read Inside the O'Briens, too.

    Lovely photos! I would love them on canvas too. I am anticipating Cole crawling and climbing, but am in no hurry. I have too much baby proofing to do around the house! Looking forward to Confess too.
