It's Monday: Check-In Time

Linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and It's Monday! What are You Reading? hosted by Sheila from Book JourneyIn Sheila's absence, share your Monday post on twitter #IMWAYR.

Busy, busy week and I'm exhausted but happy. Lots of Mia time as Anthony & Christine spent days here putting in a 'rustic' bar area in our old garage. We are converting it to a kind of functional space since we already have a double garage. Will share some photos later. My son's girlfriend turned 21 and we went to her party on Friday night and then the Paniyiri Greek Festival on Sunday.

Here's the layouts I got done last week at scrapbook retreat, thanks to kits by Sue Tonga, gorgeous friend and talented scrapbooker.

family holiday Gold Coast - January 2015

first photos I've scrapped of our fabulous trip to Lady Elliot Island
snorkeling with turtles Jan 2015

this was a class by Sue and one of the more difficult layouts I've done
but the time and effort was definitely worth it :)

First week in quite a few that I've managed to reach my target ... yay me! Sunday we visited the Paniyiri Greek festival. Luckily walking was involved as I rolled out of that place after discovering the joys of Greek honey puffs (Loukoumades)
Bella is hating on me as she didn't get a walk this week ...

  1. Lovely layouts all of them, especially one with Mia. The Greek festival sounds great. One of my sisters has made some Greek friends and shares in all their cooking. She is off to Greece later in the year. The Greek honey puffs look yummy!
I like the cover of The Confectioner's Tale - looks promising. If you loved Northern Heat I had better check it out!
Great walking! No doubt you will make it up to Bella.

  2. Nice scrapbooking! And the Greek festival sound like fun.

I'm intrigued by Paris Bookshop and hope it's good. Looks like both books this week have a PAris connection.

  8. Lovely pages!! And yay for hitting your step goals! That's wonderful. A rustic bar sounds like something I would love - can't wait to see pictures! I was approved for The Little Paris Bookshop from Netgalley. Interested to see what you end up thinking of it. Have a great week!

  9. What lovely scrapbook pages! My walking has been suffering due the the almost constant rainy weather. I am definitely a fair weather walker. However, the rain does let me spend more time reading. Come see my reading week here. Have a wonderful week!

  10. Beautiful scrapbook layouts! The Greek Festival sounds like so much fun. I love Greek food but I've never had that dessert. Baklava is one of my favorites.

The Confectioner's Tale and The Little Paris Bookshop both look really good to me. I think The Confectioner's Tale isn't available in the States but the other book definitely is and I plan to check it out once we get it at the library.

  11. Gorgeous photos! Your scrapbooking techniques display everything so wonderfully.

I love garage conversions. A few years ago I had a detached three-car garage converted into a guesthouse that served us well for years...and is now serving the new owners of the property...LOL

Enjoy your week...I am drawn to The Little Paris Bookshop. Thanks for visiting my blog.
