It's Monday: Check-In Time

Linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer and It's Monday! What are You Reading? hosted by Sheila from Book JourneyIn Sheila's absence, share your Monday post on twitter #IMWAYR.

A few family hiccups meant it wasn't quite the organised week I'd planned. I didn't get ahead with reviews (surprise, surprise lol) but I did still get 2 posted. Busy week coming up, end of the week my granddaughter turns 1 (J yippee and L waahh I wish taking the batteries out of the clock helped) and we are having a big family celebration here. I need to get a move on with the photo/scrapbook album I'm doing. And my dad will be staying later in the week.

  1. Happy birthday to Mia! How quickly time flies!

I am starting to get caught up with my reviews but I still have a long way to go. There are still books from last year that I need to read and review. Don't know when I'll get to them!

I am reading The Guest Cottage right now. I just started it this afternoon because I was in the mood for something light and summery. I've got Eight Hundred Grapes for review too so I am looking forward to your thoughts on that one. Have a great week!

  4. Wow, a 1st birthday already! Where did the year go? I know how fast it all flies, since my two oldest grandsons both turned 20 in June...no, they are not twins...but "twin cousins," I guess.

Enjoy the new week. I loved Eight Hundred Grapes and The Guest Cottage.

  7. Oh Mia is one, how fast it goes but what an adorable age. Great work on the stepping. So you put a timer going when you are on the computer? I should do that - it is so easy for hours to pass quickly. The Guest Cottage was good, I am getting a little hazy but that was the one where both families turned up to the same place for a holiday I think. Enjoy the coming week with the celebration and visit.

    1. That's it exactly Kathryn, I set the timer every hour, and walk for 5 mins, around the house and up and down the stairs. Not 'exercise' as such but moving has still got to be better than sitting at the laptop all day. Yes your memory is right on with The Guest Cottage, I liked it too.

  8. I've read about 800 grapes on a few blogs recently and it does sound good, although not my normal read. Will look forward to your review.
