Linking up with Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer and It's Monday! What are You Reading? now hosted by Kathryn @Book Date.
On the home front:
I am heartsick over the recent terror attacks in Paris, my thoughts and prayers are with all those touched by such evil. It's hard to believe I was in Paris at this time 12 months ago. I love Paris. There is so much sadness the world over, now more than ever we need to show our love and support. Stand together ... for Paris, for our world.
We had a spur of the moment trip to Sea Life ... Mia loved it, she's such an animal lover and very curious, a lot like her daddy at the same age. We are very lucky we get to spend so much time with her, she's such a joy and of course I adore capturing all the memories.
with April the Sea Lion
A busy weekend catching up with family and home maintenance and repairs ... never enough hours in the day.
Scrapbook layouts from last weekend's scrapbook retreat using kits from Sue Tonga ... and I've got a couple more still unfinished #sigh
#FitReaders Weekly Check-In
#FitReaders co-hosted by Felicia @ Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and Jen @ That’s What I’m Talking About. FitReaders is a great way to stay motivated, accountable and it's more fun having bloggy friends to check in with. If you also have a fitbit and want to add me, let me know :)
Check in for October thru to December is with Jen @ That’s What I’m Talking About. Thanks for the workweek hustle challenge fitbit girls ... very motivating. With the challenge, (19,000 steps on Monday *woot woot*) gardening and a bit of swimming, I was over target by 50% and I'm feeling it I can tell you lol.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction for the activity graph Kathryn :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Ann, have a wonderful week!
DeleteYour daughter is so very lovely :) And merci pour Paris. Enjoy your sunday !
ReplyDeletethe wee one is my granddaughter and yes we think she is a darling lol. {{Hugs}} for you in Paris.
DeleteLoveeeeee the photos of her at SeaLife!! Soooooooo cute! And LOVING your pages!!! GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks soooo much Julie :))
DeleteGlad you had a good time with Mia. Love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteI liked Along the Infinite Sea and I hope to read Vanessa and Her Sister with book group sometime.
It is so sad to hear about the attacks in Paris. Such a terrible thing. My sister was there earlier this year.
Thanks Christina. I am struggling to get into Vanessa and Her Sister, maybe audio isn't the way to go?
DeleteWhat fun pictures...Mia is so cute! You had a great week with your steps - great job getting 19k steps on Monday!!! I always tend to start out strong at the beginning of the week and then peter out as the week goes on...I need to work on that ;)
ReplyDeleteI loved Along the Infinite Sea - hope you enjoy it, too! I got November 9...it will be my first Colleen Hoover book.
Have a great week!!!
Thanks Kristin, that 19,000 makes the rest of the week look a little sad lol. I hear ya, I did the same ... started with a bang and then trailed off later in the week but still, very proud of my efforts. Hope you join the CoHo club :)
DeleteI have just finished reading "Robin Williams: When the Laughter Stops" by Emily Herbert. Interesting book but she included too many reviews of his films and not enough personal material.
ReplyDeleteI am now reading "Stronger Than Dirt" by Kimberly Schaye. This is a story of a couple from New York city who move to the Hudson Valley to start a farm.
ReplyDeleteI wondered about When the Laughter Stops but I also assumed it would be more personal so I think I'd pass. Haven't heard of Stronger than Dirt but sounds great ... that's quite the change isn't it.
DeleteSea Life sound great, glad the little one had fun. :)
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see Along the Infinite Sea I want to go n vacation. :) Just love that cover. Heard it was good too.
Hope your week is a good one. :)
the cover of Along the Infinite Sea drew me in before I actually knew anything about it. I've only read a chapter so I'm not hooked yet.
DeleteI love you Sea Life pictures! Mia looks absolutely fascinated. And your scrapbook layouts are so pretty. Along the Infinite Sea looks great and Williams is an author I really want to try. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Katherine, we had such a fun day at the aquarium but the best part was seeing Mia's fascination with all the creatures.
DeleteOh, Mia's hair is gorgeous! It suddenly grew in fast, didn't it? Thanks for sharing your photos...and I am eager to read my copy of November 9, too.
ReplyDeleteHere are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
You're right Laurel, one minute she had little hair and then all of a sudden she had ringlets. Hope you enjoy November 9 as much as I did!
DeleteLove your scrapbooking and so glad Mia enjoyed Sea Life.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kimberly, we all had fun at the aquarium but Mia's excitement was the best!
DeleteBf still have not fixed my fitbit, never gonna happen. But those challenges sure were fun
ReplyDeleteoh no, I'd be completely lost without my fitbit. If mine stopped working I'd probably have to rush out the same day and buy another lol
DeleteTrip to sea life looks fab, right up and personal with what looks like a sea lion. I remember going to the one in Sydney, which was interesting too. Nice scrap booking, love your layouts.
ReplyDeleteWow those 10 000 days look like tiddly small against the 19000 day! Fabulous week.
Yeah thought you'd be rocked by the Paris horror, with your special love for it and no doubt its people.
I need to try November 9, I see Kristin is going to read it too, I'll wait to see what she says and then I might try it out, had one poor read with a novella of hers and thought - what is everyone raving about. But need to read a full length book to properly judge if its for me.
Thanks Kathryn, we all had a lot of fun. I haven't been to the aquarium since my boys were little. We went to the one in Sydney years ago too. I don't know how some of the girls do 19,000 steps regularly, I was exhausted finishing that week.
DeleteI've read 3 CoHo books and really enjoyed each of them, no novella though.
Your daughter is absolutely adorable! :D
ReplyDeleteHere is my The Sunday Post!
granddaughter Molly and yes we think she's totally adorable lol :)
DeleteMia is adorable and with all the horrible things go on in the world it is a reminder we need to cherish our moments with our loved ones. Your scrapbook pages are amazing and perfect to remember those special moments. I'm tempted to start scrapbooking again lol. I hope you have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right Kathy, cherish the time and take nothing for granted. Every time I think I don't have the time to scrapbook any more I take more photos of my gorgeous granddaughter and then I can't resist lol
DeleteMia's such a cutie. Where's Sea Life? I wasn't sure if you meant SeaWorld but of course there could be other destinations I don't know.
ReplyDeleteI remember taking my niece to SW when she was 4 or so (with my parents) and she loved everything!
It's Sea Life Underwater World at Mooloolaba Deb. Haven't been there since my boys were young.
DeleteGlad you are making a start with the Vanessa series. Hope you like it as much as I do. Isn't it so much fun to see the world through the eyes of little ones. Having Cole all weekend helped with the horror of the Paris attacks. He brings such joy.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the challenge and steps this week! I joke that I have too many "healthy" friends, because no matter how many steps I get in, most of my friends have many more! haha! Great pics of the family! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI'm really keen to read Along the Infinite Sea too. Roll on Christmas! :-)
ReplyDeleteI have a fitbit! I am purplemoonmyst on there. It sounds like you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHi Hillary, add me via email teddyree[at]optusnet[dot]com[dot]au
DeleteMia is such a sweet little girl. I am so looking forward to my grandchildren visiting back home for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteoh that will be so lovely Mystica ... Christmas will be here before you know it :)
DeleteIt's always inspiring seeing the scrap book of others - yours looks really beautiful. It does take a lot of time though, at least for me, and I'm sure you'll be able to finish the unfinished pages soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your upcoming reads.

Sounds like you had a busy week. Thanks for sharing the scrapbook layouts. I love them. "Being a grandma is the best gig in town" is a quote from my daughter-in-law and I would have to agree. And now being a great grandmother is pretty awesome too.
ReplyDeleteAww, I love the pictures with Mia! So cute. And it's so great that you get to spend so much time with her. I know my daughter loves her time with my parents - it's so important to have that bond.

ReplyDeleteThat photo of your granddaughter is beautiful! Everything about it.
ReplyDeleteI don't even know what to think about this world sometimes. It makes me sad - but then you see photos like that, and remember all the goodness and innocence left in the world.
