Linking up with Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer and It's Monday! What are You Reading? now hosted by Kathryn @Book Date.
Bad blogger me ... and I think February is going to be hit and miss as my surgery that was going to be mid Feb is now Wednesday. Eek ... freaking out just a little, I wanted time to get organised. Recovery time could be a "nasty 2 weeks" (specialist's words #wth) with limited use of hands. Hoping she's one of those worse case scenario Dr's lol. Of course I'm visualising everything I might not be able to do ... this had so better be worth it!!
It's been a drought on my blog, motivation sadly lacking and reading and reviewing has suffered but I do finally have a couple of reviews scheduled. I promise I'll get back into the swing of it ... eventually. But thanks to everyone for the happy hand wishes over the last 2 weeks.
and here's a photo of my gorgeous granddaughter to brighten your Monday ... she makes me smile always.

JUST SAY YES by Alyssa Goodnight ~ a sprinkle of magic and humour
THE PATTERSON GIRLS by Rachael Johns (audiobook) ~ over-long audio but still good
IF YOU COULD SEE WHAT I SEE by Cathy Lamb ~ loved it, what a great way to start 2016. It will be on my favourite list at the end of the year! Thanks Kathryn :)
THE EYE OF THE SHEEP by Sofie Laguna ~ strangely beautiful and it broke my heart
LITTLE BEACH STREET BAKERY by Jenny Colgan (audiobook) ~ fun. Looking forward to the next one.

Take care and hope to see you back to blogging soon.
Will be thinking of you on Wednesday. No doubt will turf you off the computer for enforced time off internet. Hope it is successful and you will feel it was so worth it.
ReplyDeleteMia looks like she might have just hit cold water!
Seeing others who loved Numbered so am going to need to read it!
Awesome stepping, I am going to need to get back into it, will need to be up early to beat the heat. Not that I am complaining!
Good luck with your surgery, I'm sure it will go well and you'll be good as new in no time. At least this way you get to have it and be done. Less time to worry about it. :)
ReplyDeleteTake care this week and enjoy your reads when you get to them. :)

ReplyDeleteMy It's Monday! What Are You Reading? post.
Good luck, I'll be thinking of you this week. I hope everything goes well and the recovery isn't as long as the doc said.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay to take a break from posts - I do it often so I don't get burnt out! :) And your granddaughter does put a smile on my face every time I see her pictures. She's just too cute.
Hugs to you!
Gorgeous Mia always brightens my day, too..I have no baby grandchildren...sigh. There are some step-great-grandchildren, but they live in South Dakota...only pix on Facebook for now.
ReplyDeleteHope everything goes well with your hands and you have a speedy and effective recovery.
I need to read that new Cathy Lamb. Her titles are so similar, that I often think I've read a book when I haven't.
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I have Numbered on my radar and I've read and enjoyed two Cathy Lamb books before. I know Kathryn has recommended some that I should look for.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the surgery and yes, losing use of one's hands is a major deal. Hope family is around to help you out! And thanks for sharing Mia...always smiling :)
Good luck with your surgery - I hope the recovery isn't a 'nasty' one!
ReplyDeleteReading With Jade

My It's Monday, What Are You Reading
I think we received a Jenny Colgan novel for review last time and one of the GatheringBooks ladies enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing another one of her title here.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I am WAYYYYYYYYY behind on blog reading. I hope that you had a successful surgery. I hope it all goes smoothly. And the photo totally brightened my day! I look forward to hearing from you soon. *HUGS*
ReplyDeleteI'm just coming back as you've not been on the blogs. Hope everything is good at your end.
ReplyDeleteChecking in as well. I do not get around to the blogs as much as I used to. See you have posted in a month! Hope all is ok!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your surgery. Think of all the time you'll have to read, even if you can't type reviews.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're coming back!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous granddaughter! I love books set in Paris! Enjoy the new books!

Looks like you have some great reads coming up to get you out of your funk:)
ReplyDeleteI too disappeared, but am slowly trying to make my way back. Hope you and your family well. Miss you!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your surgery. I was so nervous when I had to have surgery four years ago, but it ended up going much better than expected. I think doctors just like to give the worst case scenarios and it frequently turns out much better than expected!
