A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!
Everyone got their Christmas mojo on? Ready for eating, drinking and making merry, spending time with family and friends over the holiday break?? Both my boys and their partners will be here for Christmas and I'm excited about us spending time together.
... I have the big grocery shop to do today, Christmas cooking and wrapping gifts I made over the weekend. Can't wait to show you all but it will have to wait til after Christmas as my best friend reads my blog and I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise :)
Just in case you're not back visiting before Christmas - from my family to yours ... hope your Christmas or holiday celebrations are filled with much love and laughter, spent doing what you love ... with those you love xx

This Week's Reading List:
THE HAPPIEST REFUGEE: A Memoir by Ahn Do ~ I've been wanting to read this for ages, after seeing Caspette's glowing review @ The Narrative Causality I picked up a copy and it also completes my Aussie reading challenge for 2013.
I'm doing Sheila's First Book of the Year 2014 (sign up here) but help me I can't make up my mind between these two books ~ Me Before You by JoJo Moyes or Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell ... which one??

Sounds like you will have a wonderful family Christmas. I am doing the First Book of the Year too, I don't know which one to suggest to you as I am only starting my first Sarah Jio book and don't know the other one.

Well...both books are fantastic, so you can't choose wrongly. Glad you liked Champion, I have plans to read it this week. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful time with your family :)
ReplyDeleteI loved Eleanor & Park. It is one of my favorites of 2013 and I highly recommend it. Me Before You may be my first read of 2014 if I can get a copy in time. One of my book groups will be reading it for our January book.
Bahaha, can't wait to see you Boxing day!!! Such fun making presents.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a VERY Merry Christmas my friend!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow….did you hear my little squeal of delight all the way to your place!!! I'm very excited to win some new reading material. As much as I am an avid reader and my ENTIRE family knows this I never get books or vouchers for bookstores for Christmas so winning has been like Christmas coming two days early.
ReplyDeleteAs for my recommendation for the two books selected, its hard to say because I've read great reviews for both. I'm personally more drawn to "Me Before You" and I'll be adding that one to my to-read list for the new year.
Just want to say a huge thank you Teddyree for inviting me to review at The Eclectic Reader, I love your blog and its always a treat for me to come visit.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your extended family this holiday season, stay safe and eat, drink and be merry!!
