A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!
I was a very slack blogger last week! Mission this week ... do better HA.
I watched 12 Years A Slave ~ horrific but brilliant ... powerful, moving, harrowing. Have you read it or seen it?

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your reading this week!
I want to see it so bad!!! And I have been reading a couple of series books from Kaylea Cross --- I finished one series last week - and started another this week :)
ReplyDeleteGreat walking week! Going to check out the free exercise video link. Looking forward to your upcoming reviews. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteahhh narrators!
ReplyDeletemake or break audios for me..
HapPy listening /reading week =)
Really want to see 12 Years a Slave - I need to start a to be watch list - I think it would be just as long as my TBR list! I'm listening to an audio at the moment where the voice of the narrator is brilliant for some characters and horrible for others! Just as well the main voice of the story is one of the brilliant ones. You can check out my Monday here http://kyliesreads.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/its-monday-what-are-you-reading_10.html
ReplyDeleteGood on you for pounding the pavement! Not sure if I can watch 12 years a slave, would probably have my eyes closed for a lot of it! Was talking to my class about Malcolm X today and they couldn't get their heads around segregation and slavery. Beyond their understanding.
ReplyDeleteI expect if you loved Jojo Moyes book then I will too, so will read it in 2014.
I loved Orphan Train....and I'm eager to read Safe with Me. Enjoy your week...I am impressed with your walking.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog...
You did well :)
ReplyDeleteI have bought twelve years a Slave but haven't had the time to read it. I did enjoy The One Plus One but didn't love it, I had the same reaction to Safe With Me. Maybe I'm getting to cynical in my old age!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week
I haven't listened to any of Elizabeth Chadwick's books. My library has a couple and I have thought about it. Hopefully I get a better narrator if I do end up giving one a go.
ReplyDeleteThe Promise of Stardust is one book I am going to look out for. Thanks for the review as well.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great week. I wish our weather permitted walking outside. The streets are too icy for me. Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if 12 Years a Slave is something I can watch. I know people who have walked out of the theater because of the torture!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Orphan Train. Hope you do too.

I definitely want to try Jojo M this year, sounds briliiant. I feel like it has been a slow week for many, I have noticed it with less comments than normal.
ReplyDeleteBella is a terrific walking buddy!
ReplyDeleteThese are new to me! Love your dog's pic
ReplyDeleteCheck out what we are reading this week.

I've got lots of mad respect for anyone who finds the time to walk on a regular basis - I can't seem to do it. I'm sure my dog would love it...(i really should try...)
ReplyDeleteSome interesting books listed - Have a great week of reading (and walking!)
Not sure I could watch 12 Years a Slave, I tend to seek out happy movies these days. I usually have to gear myself up to watch an emotional movie. I am sure I will watch it one day, maybe when it comes out on DVD.
ReplyDeleteI did recently see Philomena and loved it, but it was also not a movie you leave the cinema feeling like you're in a happy place.
