What Are You Reading On Monday

A weekly event hosted by J. Kaye’s Book Blog to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I didn't have a great reading week last week, life was chaotic & I'm exhausted. On a positive note, I should get more read this week, after all, it won't take much to improve on 1 book :-) ************ Books Completed Last Week: HANDLE WITH CARE by Jodi Picoult ************ This Week's Reading List: LOVE IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA by Gabriel García Márquez THE MANE EVENT by Shelly Laurenston FANTASY LOVER by Sherrilyn Kenyon (audiobook) - Chapter 7 ************ See Review for: DARK PRINCE by Christine Feehan

  4. I wonder how you like 'Handle with Care'. I love Picoult but her books can be so depressing to me that I have to hold off on them for a while.

  5. Maree ~ hmm a slow read, if I get any slower, I may just stop!

Lilly ~ I loved Handle with Care, BUT the ending was such a downer after reading about so much pain & torment, that I'm not really sure how to review it yet.

  6. I'm actually reading a bio on Gabriel Garcia Marquez and of all the books he's written, I'm intrigued by Love in the Time of Cholera--maybe it's because I watched the movie the other night, I simply can't get Javier Bardem out mu head ;-)

    Great reading list.

  8. Can't wait to hear what you think of Love in the Time of Cholera - everyone seems to have a different opinion. I am reading two books at the same time, which I know is really bad, but I have so many to get through!

  17. Teddy, I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I actually preferred the movie Love in a Time of Cholera over the book! I just couldn't get into it. It dragged on forever for me.

I see that there are plenty out there though that loved it. I hope for your benefit that you do too!
