I cannot believe that my boys have the whole set of Harry Potter books & I have not read one of them. I think my eldest son read the first one and that's where the Harry Potter reading journey ended even though we all love the movies. So I'm going to rectify this abysmal situation by participating in a Harry Potter Reading challenge over at Galleysmith. Click on the link to sign up for the
Harry Potter Reading Challenge and get more details.
What: Read or listen to all seven books in the Harry Potter series
The challenge will run from August 1, 2009 to July 31, 2010 ~ join up whenever you want.
This month on The Eclectic Reader you could win Blood Promise by Richelle Mead OR Destined For An Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost OR The Other Tudors by Philippa Jones. Check
this blog post for details. International entrants welcome.
Yay, another participant! I look forward to your reviews. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't this a great challenge for all of us slack parents LOL.
ReplyDeleteLOL, if I'm game to look for the books in Ant's room and get rid of the dust bunnies hahaha
ReplyDeleteWell, cheers to you for getting to them! They get good after the first one, so plow through that (it's what I had to do, and then I really started enjoying myself).
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
I can't believe you have them all and haven't read any either.LOL - why? They are fabulous, but you will find that out now you are reading them. I wonder whether I should participate in this one too, as I would like to reread them, but I just have so many other books to read too.
ReplyDeleteI know Viv, isn't it terrible, I can't believe it myself. You should re-read them just in case I need encouragement to get started or keep going LOL
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the Harry Potter books, good luck with the challenge!
ReplyDeleteOooh, have fun! These are the best books I've ever read! It's amazing how clever JK Rowling is and the details she put into this made up world of Wizards and Muggles. Enjoy and I hope you like them too!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love Harry Potter and I hope that you find you do too! I'm re-reading them for this challenge as well, so I look forward to lots of conversation about them!!
ReplyDeleteYou too! Maybe later this year I'll join. I've read 5-7 but not the beginning.
