A weekly event hosted by J. Kaye’s Book Blog to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week.
I got sidetracked from my intended reading list last week with some really good books from the library, maybe I'll stay on task this week but I just don't know. This week's list is a little optimistic but I'm not too sure what I'm in the mood for. I do know that up next in my reviews is Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran so stay tuned.
************
Books Completed Last Week:
FRANTIC by Katherine Howell - 4.5 stars
VISION IN WHITE by Nora Roberts - 5 stars
WINTERGIRLS by Laurie Halse Anderson
************
This Week's Reading List:
DIME STORE MAGIC by Kelley Armstrong - page 75
TRIBUTE by Nora Roberts - page 135
THE PAINTED VEIL by W. Somerset Maugham
CORALINE by Neil Gaiman (audiobook)
LONG NIGHT DANCE by Betsy James

Neil Gaiman is always a good choice - enjoy your reading this week!
ReplyDeleteHm, I see you didn't rate Wintergirls...
ReplyDeleteI love Nora Roberts! So what did you think about Wintergirls? I really liked Coraline, enjoy this week's reading list!!
ReplyDeleteI just don't know how I feel about Wintergirls, on the one hand the writing was just exquisite and on the otherhand it depressed the hell out of me. I don't know why because I found Willow, and If I Stay (other YA's with difficult subject matter) quite inspiring.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good list!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking everywhere for The Painted Veil by Somerset Maughan. I recently saw the film and fell in love with it, now want to read it. Can't wait to hear all about it.
ReplyDeleteYou had a great week of reading. Looking forward to hearing what you thought of Coraline.
ReplyDeleteGreat list. I read Coraline a couple of weeks ago; enjoy.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading :)
Hey Teddyree!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Beth Kery's "Paradise Rules", and "Through Her Eyes".
Ms. Kery is swiftly becoming my favorite author...
Best to you
L
Great Review of Night Embrace and Cleopatra's Daughter.
ReplyDeleteLooking at your list, i've just realised i haven't read any Nora Roberts yet...
Hi, Teddyree -- Love your blog! So glad you rated Vision in White 5 stars - it's my giveaway. Have a great reading week!
ReplyDeleteI've been debating on VISION IN WHITE and WINTERGIRLS. Thanks about the comment. I don't do depressing well. And as far as the other one. I can't read it now...too many challenges, but I will add it to the list of future reads.
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about Coraline on audio but I haven't listen to it. Also I feel like I've read Dime Store Magic but I can't remember it. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, happy reading.
I'm curious what you thought of 'Wintergirls'. I'm anxious to read it and have read some very interesting commentary about it.
ReplyDeleteYou had a busy last week! Excellent finishing. This week's reading list looks excellent! Enjoy!
