Winner of September Competition & Soccer Update

A BIG THANK YOU to all of you who left good luck wishes for my son's soccer team in the U/15's final at the Gold Coast Cup and for your patience with the delay in drawing my September competition. Loganholme beat local club rivals, and this season's grand final winners and premiers in their semi-final to advance through to the finals but sadly a win was not forthcoming. Runner-up is a great achievement but the old saying, 'only winners are grinners' definitely applied, there were some very disappointed lads ... but hey there's always next year :-)
Thought I'd share a few photos, the first one is my son Callum taking a shot at goal, and 2nd pic is the celebration after scoring. 3rd shot is Cal, picture of concentration (only happens on the soccer field lol)

Thank you to everyone who entered my September competition and a special thanks for your favourite YA recommendations, my wishlist is overwhelmed and I'm excited!!

Ok enough delays ~ Congratulations to the winner of my September competition:

  7. All, I'm sorry that he lost. Soccer is a tough sport. At least the team knows they can go that far.
Your son is adorable, shaggy hair and all :)

  8. Congrats to the winner and also to your son and his team. I'm a huge soccer fan. Gregory has played for years and is on a club team so I know how much this means! Well done!
