MizB of Should Be Reading hosts this cool weekly event. Grab your current read. Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share (2) “teaser” sentences from that page. Share the title & author of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR list if they like your teaser. Please avoid spoilers!

From page 29 of Cancel Christmas.
ReplyDelete(The financial guy says, wearily...)
"Scrooge was a miser, yes, but he wasn’t mean-spirited. Bleakheart is the meanest person I have ever met. He is dangerous because he will let nothing stand in the way of his greed."
Kind of a modern-day Christmas Carol, after the above-mentioned Bleakheart discovers that the Christmas holidays cost him millions in profits (because of holiday pay, etc). So he wants to take his power to get it abolished! It's great fun -- I'm reading this as part of the Christmas Reading Challenge.
That is a great teaser! I want to read these books and this just makes me want to even more!
ReplyDeleteI want to read this!
