THE MIDWIFE'S TALE by Gretchen Moran Laskas
Even though I didn't get much reading, reviewing or blog visiting done last week I wanted to share some good news... a new addition to our family. This is Bella, the little girl we adopted from the RSPCA. With all the heartache in our home of late, Bella with her sweet nature has brought a smile to my son Callum's face and some much needed joy to our whole family.
Wednesday is the 2nd anniversary of my mum's death, and I still miss her terribly. Alaine and I are going to spend the day scrapbooking, and no doubt chatting and laughing which is always nice and I'm hoping to make a start on an album in memory of mum. Of course I hope to get a little more reading done this week but we'll just have to wait and see :-)
Have a wonderful week everyone!

ReplyDeleteBella is so cute and will be a wonderful addition to the family. When I went through heartache in my family we also brought a dog into the home - Elmo. That was 13 years ago and Elmo is still with us and I know he was such a blessing during hard times.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of an album in memory of your mom.
Have a wonderful week!
Bella is adorable. you'll be in my thoughts on Wednesday, my mom passed away a little over a year ago and my sister and I couldn't get together but spent over an hour on the phone sharing memories, I slept better that night than I had in a long time. Have fun scrapbooking!!
