It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from One Persons Journey Through a World Of Books to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. Thanks Sheila :)

I'm enjoying spending time with my 16 year old ... he's surprisingly good company, for a gross teenager teenage male LOL. Yesterday he tried to break the pancake eating record at Pancakes in Paradise (ironic as the rain continues to fall) and managed an epic fail :)

Speaking of rain; I put up a post yesterday about the flood devastation experienced by many in Australia and my guiding words for 2011; you can check it out here: This Post Is Brought To You By The Letters B and D.

My eldest son flies out tomorrow to Mt Isa (another town isolated by flood water) to help get electricity services back up and running. Stay safe Ant!!

As Brisbane braces itself for flooding over the next few days, my home town of Toowoomba was devastated by flash flooding today. Thank goodness family and friends are safe if waterlogged.

  11. We are also experiencing widespread flooding in my part of the world. Also many landslips in the hill country adding to the devastation.

Good that you and family are safe.

  15. Do hope the rain and flooding eases very soon.
We hear about it on the news here in the UK and parts of the UK experienced flooding a while back...but it is the rebuilding of communities and homes that we forget about.

hope you have a good week

  17. Delirium sounds good...I enjoyed The Weight of Silence.

Have a great week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

Had to giggle at your crossed-out words when describing your teenage son. I remember those days, and now I have four grandkids who are teens! That's better, though, because you get to send them home!

I am planning to give Unearthly a try. I am not the biggest fan of angel fiction. I am going to check out your review of I am Number Four. Still on the fence about reading it.

I hope you enjoy your reading this week!

  20. Hate hearing about the devastation there by the floods.

I have a 19 year old boy and a 3 year old grandson and they can put away more food in one sitting than I can in a week. lol bottomless pits!
