A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. Thanks Sheila :)
A busy week on my blog and in general. I got a little sidetracked from my reading schedule when I succumbed to the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy addiction. The whip is out (did I just say that) and fingers crossed I'll be back on track this week. So what else happened ... dinner and a movie, What To Expect When Your Expecting (giggle-fest) to celebrate a friend's birthday and lots of housework (feeling guilty after that all that Fifty Shades indulging.) This Tuesday night is book club and we get to talk about Fifty Shades Of Grey ... love it or hate it, it should make for an interesting night ;)
Today I'm spending the day with Alaine as she remembers her baby girl Jessica. I'm really happy with the card I made for her.

I can't wait to hear what you think of Fifty, the suspense is killing me, review each :-) I want to hear what your bookclub thought, whoooah.
ReplyDeleteGreat upcoming week.
LOL Marce, you crack me up and I'll let you know the general consensus at book club :)
DeleteI wanna read fifty shades so bad... just haven't gotten around to it.... I would love to hear your thoughts on it!! I loveeeeee the card!! BEAUTIFUL colors!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie, review for 50 Shades will be up this week :)
DeleteI look forward to hearing what your book group thinks of Fifty Shades.
ReplyDeleteI still need to read Insurgent. I want to reread Divergent first so it will be awhile. I also just got Die For Me. That cover for Glow reminds me so much of Across the Universe. I hope you enjoy your reading and that you are able to get caught up on the housework. That is something I need to do too!
I'm looking forward to book club too Christina ;) hehee and I'm enjoying Die For Me
DeleteCan't wait to read Insurgent. Glad to know you liked it and thought it was awesome.
ReplyDeleteHope you love Insurgent as much as I did :)
DeleteMy favorite read last week was Emily the Strange: Dark Times by Rob Reger. Please come see what else I'm reading.
ReplyDeleteThe card is beautiful! I read the Fifty Shades sample on my iphone. Not sure if I will buy it. Seems like there's a lot of sexual tension and not much story going on. We'll see! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy. Definitely lots of sexual tension in Fifty Shades but the psychological aspect was fascinating ... a damaged little boy/fragile man
DeleteWhat a lovely card! I liked the Good Father. I'm looking forward to your Sister pact interview
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Book'd Out earlier!
Shelleyrae @ Book'd Out
Thanks for stopping by Shelleyrae and the interview with Ros and Ali was such a fun one :)
DeleteAwesome picks! I want to read Glow and Until I Die too (: I haven't heard of Tattooed but it looks interesting!

My Monday Wrap-Up
I really enjoyed Until I Die, but the cliffhanger ending was a killer!
DeleteI have definitely had mixed feelings about the 50 Shades of Grey books....and obviously you enjoyed them, so I'm eager to read your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI also saw What to Expect When You're Expecting this weekend, with my granddaughter.
We laughed a lot...then went to the neighborhood restaurant where she had something delicious and I had soup (oral surgery this past week!). But it was delicious soup.
Love that card! So beautiful....
Hope you enjoy The Good Father as much as I did!
Here's MY MONDAY MEMES POST
Hopefully my 50 Shades review will help you decide whether it's for you. Sounds like you had a fun weekend despite your sore mouth ... hope it's healing nicely?
Deleteand yes I'm about 30% in to The Good Father and I'm enjoying it :)
Hey Blogging friend! Sooo, I'm dying to know - which was your favorite 50 book???? I think I liked the second one the best - no real reason but it just seemed to be my fav!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading this week :)
What are YOU reading??
I'm with you Rachael, Fifty Shades Darker was my fave :)
DeleteI love Fifty Shades - good luck with that discussion though. :) People can get really heated about those books (um...not that kind of heated ;)). I think doing a 3 in 1 review for Fifty would be great. Whenever I get around to re-reading and reviewing them I think I'll combine them as well.
ReplyDeleteI've heard The Good Father is really good - enjoy all your reads!
What I'm reading
I just talked to my daughter, she was on her way to get the 2nd Shades of book and I told her I wanted to read them when she was done and she said, Oh Mom, your can't read these, they are not your kind of book, heck they made me blush!" My 25 year old daughter protecting her 50 year old mom from a erotic book. so funny!!
ReplyDeleteLori that's too funny, now you have to read them LOL
DeleteI've got the 50 Shades series on my list, but haven't made it around to them yet. I've heard really good things about them! I say any time you spend reading is well spent, even if other things do slide ;)
ReplyDeletehahaha Crystal totally agree but now I've finished the 50 Shades series I can't use it as an excuse for slacking off, will have to find something to take its place :)
DeleteI say go for one shade review, it fits :)
ReplyDeletetook your advice B :)
DeleteWell, as you have finished 50, I'm still leather deep in book 3!!! Thanks to you! I would love to be there for your bookclub chat tomorrow!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Love the card!
Bookclub chat was fun, the general consensus on Fifty Shades was positive. I'm deep in 50 Shades withdrawal :(
DeleteLove the card!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the Lucky Harbor series yet but I do like Jill so they're going on my wishlist.
Just now reading Divergent so I'm not going to check out your review of Insurgent yet.
Have a great week, here's my Monday post
Aww thanks. Hope you love Divergent as much as I did :)
DeleteFifty is everywhere. Waiting to hear your reviews. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in Mystica :)
DeleteI'm interested in what you have to say about the Fifty series. I've been seeing/hearing about them everywhere. I just finished Divergent and absolutely loved it! I can't wait to start Insurgent!
ReplyDeleteWish I was a fly in the wall tonight lol.
ReplyDeletePamela Callow had a guest post on the Mystery Board at Barnes & Noble's book club site, and her books sound intersting. I will have to check them out. Hope you have a great week.
