It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Update :)

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. Thanks Sheila :)

A busy week on my blog and in general. I got a little sidetracked from my reading schedule when I succumbed to the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy addiction. The whip is out (did I just say that) and fingers crossed I'll be back on track this week. So what else happened ... dinner and a movie, What To Expect When Your Expecting (giggle-fest) to celebrate a friend's birthday and lots of housework (feeling guilty after that all that Fifty Shades indulging.) This Tuesday night is book club and we get to talk about Fifty Shades Of Grey ... love it or hate it, it should make for an interesting night ;)

Today I'm spending the day with Alaine as she remembers her baby girl Jessica. I'm really happy with the card I made for her.

  3. I look forward to hearing what your book group thinks of Fifty Shades.

I still need to read Insurgent. I want to reread Divergent first so it will be awhile. I also just got Die For Me. That cover for Glow reminds me so much of Across the Universe. I hope you enjoy your reading and that you are able to get caught up on the housework. That is something I need to do too!

  6. The card is beautiful! I read the Fifty Shades sample on my iphone. Not sure if I will buy it. Seems like there's a lot of sexual tension and not much story going on. We'll see! :)

    1. Thanks Wendy. Definitely lots of sexual tension in Fifty Shades but the psychological aspect was fascinating ... a damaged little boy/fragile man

  9. I have definitely had mixed feelings about the 50 Shades of Grey books....and obviously you enjoyed them, so I'm eager to read your thoughts.

I also saw What to Expect When You're Expecting this weekend, with my granddaughter.

We laughed a lot...then went to the neighborhood restaurant where she had something delicious and I had soup (oral surgery this past week!). But it was delicious soup.

    Love that card! So beautiful....

Hope you enjoy The Good Father as much as I did!

  11. I love Fifty Shades - good luck with that discussion though. :) People can get really heated about those books (um...not that kind of heated ;)). I think doing a 3 in 1 review for Fifty would be great. Whenever I get around to re-reading and reviewing them I think I'll combine them as well.

I've heard The Good Father is really good - enjoy all your reads!

  12. I just talked to my daughter, she was on her way to get the 2nd Shades of book and I told her I wanted to read them when she was done and she said, Oh Mom, your can't read these, they are not your kind of book, heck they made me blush!" My 25 year old daughter protecting her 50 year old mom from a erotic book. so funny!!
