A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to
discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading
in the coming week. I love this meme ... thanks Sheila :)
I was flattened for most of last week by a hideous gastro bug ... pretty crappy when you have heaps to do and can't manage anything but on a positive note I did pretty good with my reading. Yesterday we spent a lovely afternoon at Wynnum, we took Bella to a huge off-leash dog park and then had fish and chips on the foreshore. Bella went nuts chasing seagulls and pelicans and look at her keeping an eye on everything out the car window as we left, I swear she thinks she's human.
So ... new week, I'll be reading, reviewing and packing for scrapbook retreat at DaisyChain Scrapbooks. I'm hoping to be super organised so I get lots done this camp. Here's a card I made for a friend on the weekend.

ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to get to The Last Boyfriend soon Nise, I'm looking forward to Owen & Avery's story!
DeleteI hope you have a much better week this week and have fun at the scrapbooking camp. I think dogs and cats must see themselves as "people". My sister's cat sits properly in a chair at the dining room table while we eat our meals. Animals can be so interesting! Thanks for sharing your picture of Bella. She is cute!
ReplyDeletePushing the Limits sounds interesting to me and I am curious about The Fine Color of Rust.
Your sister's cat sounds like quite a character, gave me a giggle :)
DeletePushing the Limits was really good and The Fine Colour Of Rust, a very Australian read!
That's another nice card. Looks like you had some great reads. Funny how our dogs think they are human. I'm glad Bella had fun at the park too.
ReplyDeleteHope you nasty bug is all over. Happy reading and scraping this week!
Feeling much better now thanks Martha. Our Bella is spoilt rotten but she had such a hard start in life, it's hard not to spoil her :)

DeleteCan't you get a break??? I swear woman you've had enough calamities this year!! Your dog is human...they think they own us!! I love that card...I need to get back to some paper scrapping soon. I miss doing it and playing with stuff! I'm sure you will have a great time and I can't wait for you to post what you created!!! Loving the upcoming titles you will be posting about. I'm hoping to get to Animal Magnetism this week..that is #1 right? Whichever is #1 is the one I am starting..I sound stupid right now! HA! must be all those sex-drenched books I've been reading which has turned my brain to mush!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week my friend!!
Thanks Staci, all the dramas get a bit tiresome lol. You have been overdosing on the steamy books but yes Animal Magnetism is book 1. Can't wait to see what you think, if they're as good as the Lucky Harbor series!
DeleteLooking forward to some more scrapbooking ... cut down on your sex-drenched reads and you'll have time to fit some scrapping in LMAO
Um...I don't think that's going to happen woman!! I'm a bit addicted to the sex-drenched pages. Maybe I will scrap this winter? But then again !! LOL!!
DeleteHi Sheree, I was wondering if you saw my email about the Gabrielle Kimm's giveaway? please let me know :D

I've read a couple of J.D Robb books years ago but nothing for a while, I'm still moving through all the Nora Roberts lol.
DeletePS I sent you an email about not getting your email about your Gabrielle Kimm win, if that makes sense lol. I haven't received any emails from you so please resend!
I'm currently reading book #9 of her J.D Robb books, I can't stop! She's amazing! Email sent! Thank youu!

I can't wait to read Little Night...I think I'm drawn to train wrecks.
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
Bella did have a little piece of fish but no chips for her. And I think I'm drawn to train wrecks too Laurel-Rain, can be a bit draining!

ReplyDeleteThe Power of Six and The Rise Of Nine should be brilliant on audio, but exhausting I'd imagine lol
DeleteI saw Pushing the Limits surpassed 50 Shades of Grey in sales in Kentucky last week. Pretty impressive.

DeleteGorgeous card! You are quite talented. And thanks for sharing the picture of Bella. She's lovely. Is there any dog who isn't in denial about that fact that she's a *dog?* Sometimes I think our three canines have taken over the house. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie, lol Bella is very special, I'm sure most of us say that about our furry family members but she really does bring us so much joy!
DeleteYou make the most awesome cards. You should start a business.
ReplyDeleteLOL thanks Stacy, probably wouldn't be fun anymore if I started a business
DeleteWell since this is weeks later i will assume you are better my friend. Sorry to hear about the GI thing though. They are the worst sometimes.
ReplyDeleteLove Bella girl! she is adorable. And yes sometimes It hink dogs are humans :) Reborn into loving homes.
