A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week
~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I
love this meme ... thanks Sheila!
Julie from Life with the Tucker-Wolek Clan is an absolute sweetheart and spent a fortune (yeah I noticed you naughty girl!!) sending me 2 tins of pumpkin and a Betty Crocker Spice cake mix along with a recipe for Pumpkin Muffins after I made a comment on one of her posts about the oddity of tinned pumpkin (we don't have it in Australia.) I've been following Julie's blog for a while now, she's a super talented scrapbooker, avid reader, blog commenter and all round gorgeous girl.
Look what I got!! I was so excited this
morning to get a package in the mail from Arizona I just had to share
photos.

Thanks so much Julie, you have no idea how
much this package made me smile. I'll be making those muffins and decorating
the Christmas tree so will share more photos in a few days so keep an eye out.
Tomorrow I pick Callum up from the airport, 2 weeks has gone
fast but Bella and I have missed him so we can't wait! We're in the middle of a
heat wave in Brisbane so I'm sure the expected 40 degree temperature (104F)
will be a bit of a shock for him after Banff. Insurance work started on our storm damaged rooms so at least the paint will dry extra fast in this heat :)

You are doing so good with reading and listening to Kristin Hannah, I want to get one in before end of year.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute surprise to find in the mail! It never occurred to me that canned pumpkin is more of a states thing...it's a lot easier to bake something with it :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful reading week!
Just goodness came in a package. You will love the muffins!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!!
I have been wanting to read that series by Nora Roberts- Christmas break is coming, it seems like that would be a perfect time to read them. :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYum! Enjoy the pumpkin muffins. Pumpkin desserts are among my top faves. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, thank you so much!! I'm so happy, and I can't wait to read the book :)
ReplyDeleteGasp! You don't have canned pumpkin in Australia? We have shelves and shelves of it, but as sad as I am to say, I don't cook with it much. This Thanksgiving for some reason my Grandma kept worrying there would be a pumpkin shortage and bought like 10 cans...and never used 'em! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you make something scrumptious with your pumpkin!!
Have a wonderful reading week! Whatcha readin' this week @ the Brunette Librarian :)
Callum is home by now, safe and sound and utterly exhausted from a fabulous trip!! I am making the exact same muffins that Julie sent you the ingredients for!! Enjoy and do let us know when you make them!!! Loved your guest post and your review this week so far!!
