Can't wait for your reviews this week :) And YAY for organizing the scrappy space!!
ReplyDeleteGive me a virtual high five after I've actually done it Julie LOL
DeleteI'm glad you liked Looking For Me. I thought it was fantastic. I also liked The Storyteller.
ReplyDeleteI confess that I haven't read (or watched) The Great Gatsby. I was supposed to have read it for college but I think I read the "Cliffs Notes" version instead :)
The weather here has been warm but with thunderstorms almost every day. Thankfully the rain only sticks around for part of the day and the rest of the day is decent and sunny. I'd like to see an end to the storms for awhile though especially with 4th of July approcahing.
Have a great week and good luck with your organizing project!
Enjoy your visit with family Christina, hope the storms blow away soon!
DeleteAnother great week, JodiP is always harrowing..... I can't do her any more.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy
The holocaust was always going to be harrowing but I'm just hoping this one of Jodi's has resolution not a 'Clayton's' ending. I'm a huge Jodi Picoult fan but I've been disappointed with the endings of her last few books.
DeleteI knew you would like Legend! We are cooler than normal here too. It has been nice for our home renovation projects. Now that they are complete, I hope the warm weather shows up. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteLoved it Nise, have you already read Prodigy? Are you going to share some photos of your reno project?
DeleteI felt the same way about Looking for Me. Hope you settle in and enjoy The Storyteller.
ReplyDeleteSounds like our weather is just the opposite of yours...it's very hot here...triple digits.
Here's MY MONDAY READING POST
Your weather actually sounds really nice-it's been pretty hot here (though thankfully not in the triple digits like it is for Creations by Laurel-Rain Snow.)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you enjoyed the Hoffman book :D And I wish you better weather!
ReplyDeleteI gave up on Jodi Picoult as I found the sorrow/grief too much to handle. Your other books are new to me and I look forward to your thoughts on them.
ReplyDeleteI've had The Sea of Tranquility on my kindle for ages. I don't know why it is that I continue to buy (or request ARCs) too many books all the time. But any time a book I want is really cheap on Amazon, I buy it. Better to already have it, I think... then it disappears to the back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my It's Monday! post earlier.
I'd like to read Looking For Me, I have heard such great things about the author
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

I want to see Gatsby - wonder if it's still in theaters. I've read it a few times - short book and I like it. Hope you get your scrap room sorted out :)
ReplyDeleteYou sound like my Mom when she goes to organize her sewing room, good luck! I read the Great Gatsby in high school, wasn't crazy about it. Good looking list this week, Happy Reading.
ReplyDeleteWow! Five stars for Sea of Tranquility? That's high praise. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHere's my It's Monday!
I really need to organize all my scrapbook stuff - right now it's all packed away in the closet and I have no idea what I have. I need to get it set up in our spare room, so that when I have a few minutes I can do some scrapping!
ReplyDeleteI need to get a copy of The Storyteller - how is the audio?
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my blog!
~Kristin @ Always With a Book
I need to organise my scrap stuff so I can get in the room lol, it's dreadful ... must take before and after pics :) You're right, if it's all packed away it's too much hassle to dig stuff out for just an hour or two.
DeleteI'm enjoying the audio, narration is really good, authentic but you need a chunk of time to devote otherwise the multiple narrators get a little confusing. 10 mins here and there just doesn't cut it lol
Weather can be a big contributor to motivation... Or so I find. I hope you will share some snippets of your scraproom once it's done. I'm sure we'll all like a good nosey :-P
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your sharing your thoughts on The Storyteller By Jodi Picoult. She is a favourite of mine and I'm still on the fence about purchasing that one.
My Book Bubble
Totally agree Jade, I want to be a bear when it's cold, rainy and miserable lol.
Deleteand yes I think I'll do before and after pics of my scraproom ... I thought putting it out there on my blog will actually make me do it haha!
I'm a huge Jodi Picoult fan but I've been a bit disappointed with the endings of her last few books. I'm enjoying The Storyteller so far (if that's the right word for a harrowing story)
Glad you liked Looking For Me. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThe Sea of Tranquility has had good reviews and looks interesting. Looking for Me is near top of my wishlist. Enjoy the reading week.
ReplyDeleteDid you LOVE Looking for Me? I did.
ReplyDeleteThe Sea of Tranquility has such an awesome cover.
THANKS for the update.
ENJOY your week.

My It's Monday, What Are You Reading
Yes Elizabeth, I loved Looking For Me!! Audiobook was brilliant, Jenna Lamia is wonderful narrator.
DeleteI REALLY want to read The Storyteller, but I'm saving up for a house, so trying not to buy books. A new Picoult makes it very hard!
ReplyDeleteHow did you like Legend? must have been good, if you're ready for the sequel. I've been thinking bout getting a copy of Legend.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week
