A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!
No news on the job front for my eldest son or my boyfriend ... very disheartening, but next best thing to a job offer or winning gold lotto (which would be nothing short of miraculous without an entry lol) is your positive thoughts ... I do so appreciate them.
Tonight Karen & I have a joint short & sweet review of the lovely Anna Campbell's novella Days of Rakes & Roses going up. And on Tuesday be sure to come back for our fun Q&A with Macy Beckett and a giveaway.

Fingers crossed that jobs come their way!! I read a book this weekend by an Aussie and had a question for you :) One of the characters jobs was 'solicitor' ... I know they worked in a law firm ... but I wasn't sure what that job title was ... any help? :)
ReplyDeletesolicitor here is just another title for lawyer or attorney ... they practice law, our barristers specialise in courtroom legalise. Do you just use the term 'lawyer' in the US?
DeleteSending good thoughts you way! Glad you enjoyed Prodigy. Have a great week.

ReplyDeleteYour dog is adorable in her little hoodie and all snuggled up in the blanket.
I hope things turn around soon for your loved ones and that they find good jobs.
It looks like you have some good books to read this week. I have been wanting to try that CW Gortner series. I have a friend reading the second book now and she likes it. I just started The Sweetest Dark and am looking forward to The Deepest Night. I hope I'll enjoy the series as much as you did.
Glad to hear The Deepest Night pleased you-I have it to read and since I liked the first, I'm hoping to like the second as well.

Currawong Creek is one that looks good. I must hunt it out. I did see it on Netgalley but didn't ask for it. Have a good week reading.

ReplyDeleteContinuing to send love and positive thoughts your way Teddyree and hope something comes up on the job front soon.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see Macy Beckett's Q & A on Tuesday x
I do hope they will get good news soon. On another note I did not even know there was a thing like a hoodie for a dog. You learn something new every day and never too old to learn either.
ReplyDeleteAwww I love Bella in her hoodie :) I haven't read any of the reviews or synopsis for the Bone Season, so I don't even know what it's about. my bad.
ReplyDeleteIf I should die is on my tbr list.
