It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!

A long week with a wry neck ... what a stupid name for something causing so much pain and just a few tears. So grateful to be on the mend now.

#bookblogwalkers update #35: Felicia's Book Blog Walkers: love that so many of my friends are doing Felicia's challenge to move and get healthy. If you also have a fitbit and want to add me, let me know :)

Even though I didn't do too much exercise-walking last week I did get lots of steps in as it was more painful sitting and laying down than it was being upright. I walked to appointments as I would have been a danger in the car, not being able to turn my head lol

Mon: 45 min walk with Bella (11,653)
Tue: 20 min walk with Bella to Vet (9089 steps)
Wed: (10,159 steps)
Thurs: walk to appointment (8047 steps)
Fri: (10,060 steps)
Sat: rest (3075 steps)
Sun: (7062 steps)

  3. Sorry to hear you've had a 'wry' neck...glad to hear you are feeling better.

I loved Sherryl Caulfield's debut novel and am really excited for the release of the second.

I gave my husband a Fitbit last weekend as a combined Anniversary/Father's Day gift...I was kind of hopeful he wouldn't find it useful and then I could claim it...but so far it is encouraging him to make sure he gets up and about more often throughout the day as his occupation requires him to sit for hours on end.

  8. I just had my left leg amputated in May, and have recently gotten to the point to be able to walk without a cane. I am jealous of your walking, but I am getting back to where I can walk up the street and back! LOL Here is my Monday Keep hoofing, I will be right behind ya soon!

  10. I hope your neck feels better soon. I have a Fitbit too but had a moment of panic on Sunday when I couldn't find it. I searched the house and finally grabbed a flashlight to look under the couch where the little thing was finally located. I really should replace the carrier that lets me clip it to my waistband instead of just keeping it in a pocket. Come see my week. Happy reading!

  11. Sorry to hear about your neck! I've had the flu for a couple of weeks and I know I've felt just miserably (and full of self pity!!!).

Glad you like Lyrebird Hill. I loved it as well.

  13. Oh, I can relate to the neck thing...and "wry" is definitely the wrong word for such pain. Hope you feel better soon...mine comes and goes.

I am so looking forward to the new Jodi Picoult...and have Larger than Life on Sparky...maybe I'll get to it this week!

Thanks for visiting my blog, and enjoy your week!

  14. Sorry you are not up to par; hope you feel better soon!
I'm so glad to discover some new titles and authors you raved about! Wow, thank you for some of these tips--the only book I read of yours was Accidents of Marriage and agree it was really good. I am putting Anna Romer down on my check-it-out list and Colleen Hoover, The Brewer's Tale and Bitter Greens. Have a better week ahead and enjoy your books.
