It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!

Update ... My heart is breaking for Sheila and her family with the loss of son Justin. I hope the love and support of family and friends brings some small comfort at this unbearably painful time. Love & warm hugs xx

On the Home Front:
It was a good news week ... both sons start new jobs tomorrow. Eldest has an electrician position on a hospital refurb (and he's staying local which is a bonus) and youngest has his first job in IT since finishing his uni degree. Youngest and his girlfriend cooked me dinner mid week and we made a few plans for his 21st, coming up quickly.

Our Easter was blessed with lots of family time and laughs. My granddaughter had us in stitches :)

and just a little squeeeal for the return of Outlander ... express from the US!! Great episode :)

I am scary behind with reviews and blogging thanks to short weeks and my own shortcomings. I wouldn't say I'm unmotivated, ok maybe a little, but I have enthusiastically drafted blog posts all over the place and just as enthusiastically failed to complete them. I can't seem to get my head on straight to follow them through to publication. Time to focus and play catch up!!

  1. Love the little video clip, I think little ones just show how life can be such fun and enjoyable. Just meet another little grand niece today as they were down visiting, she's 6 months, but they live quite a distance.
Great walking! Love that boardwalk look. I got 92% only of my goal steps walked this week, its suffering a little, hope I can make it 100% this week.
    Enjoy that reading!

  2. Your granddaughter is a cutie!

I can relate to your motivational issues. I keep going on about the unwritten book reviews I have, but I've actually started most. Some back in February. But they're sitting in my drafts folder. Languishing...

  3. Wow! That is a big list to review! Do you review everything you read, or those all ARCs? Remember not to overwhelm yourself, this is supposed to be fun!
Have a good week, and good luck to your sons!

  9. So sad about Sheila's son. :(

Awesome about your sons new jobs! I'm glad you had a nice weekend. :) Great job with your steps, too!! I know how it is to get behind on posts - I am really unmotivated right now and need to do some reviews. I hate when I get in these funks. It's also ruining my reading, as no book is really keeping my attention. :(

I hope you are able to get caught up and have a great week!!

  10. Loved the video of the granddaughter. A baby's laughter - so, so sweet! And the flipside of that is the heartbreak of Sheila's loss. I am so sad for them.

  13. I'm so sorry to hear about Sheila's loss; I had no idea! I have Inside the O'Briens on my TBR, and I've a friend who really loved Jodi Picoult's Leaving Home. Confess is on my list to read soon, so I'm hopeful about that one.

  14. Yay for grandbabies and Outlander :)
I, too, have been heartbroken for Sheila. I only hope to have a relationship like she had with Justin with my Gage someday. There was always such love there.
