A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!
Keeping Sheila and her family in my thoughts and prayers. Sending hugs across the miles xx
On the home front:
I posted a few reviews last week. I'm by no means caught up but hey I posted. And I'm not adding much to my reading list this week as time will be limited. Another busy week with appointments and getting stuff done for my son's 21st.
My reward for being good ... I'm off to watch Game of Thrones and then Outlander and then ... that's it, I haven't been that good.
#FitReaders Weekly Check-In:
#FitReaders co-hosted by Felicia @ Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and Jen @ That’s What I’m Talking About. FitReaders is a great way to stay motivated, accountable and it's more fun having bloggy friends to check in with. If you also have a fitbit and want to add me, let me know :)
Step average was on target but I didn't take Bella for any walks and she is not happy about that!

THE LAST TIME WE SAY GOODBYE by Cynthia Hand (audiobook) ~ a departure from Cynthia Hand's usual, very moving.
Two excellent books to read this week! I loved A Desperate Fortune (still need to read the review) and Rose Under Fire is so sad and moving.
ReplyDeleteI am currently reading Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult. I was reading it last night till almost 9 when Game of Thrones started. I was so happy to finally watch it when it airs instead of waiting till the series is out on DVD next year. I thought it was a good opening episode. Unfortunately I'll have to wait to watch Outlander since Starz doesn't have the same cable free option that HBO Now has.
Great job with steps! I've been hearing great things about the Lisa Geneva book. I may need to add that one to my list. I saw so much chatter about the return of GoT last night. I feel like I've been missing out. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great week and enjoy your reading!
So many lovely choices! I am looking forward to Inside the O'Briens...and now I'm curious about The Last Time We Say Goodbye.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your continued fitness success!
Thanks for visiting my blog, and have a great week.....
I was telling Brian this weekend in Vegas that I wish I had a FitBit ... cause ALL the walking I did this weekend would have been enough steps to fill my entire YEAR!! LOL!!!!!!
ReplyDeletelike your reads. Looking forward to your review of the Moriarty book.
ReplyDeleteGreat stepping. I hope it all goes just as planned and hoped for the 21st. Looks like I am going to be learning about some new books and authors as you post your reviews.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!! :D
ReplyDeleteInside the O'Briens is on my list to read this year, if I ever get to Still Alice, that is. I'm so ashamed of myself. I haven't kept a log of my #FitReaders steps or movement this past week. Yikes! In my defense, I did get out and mow my lawn and weed-eat. That counts for something, right?
ReplyDeleteYay! Game of Thrones - Winter is coming and I for one can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteEsp now we have to wait until October for the new season of Walking Dead!
I'll be curious to hear if Liane Moriarty's earlier books are as good as her last two.
Since Sheila is off-blog right now I will post my Monday link here Brona's Books
I want to get to Rose Under Fire. Hope to get to Outlander (part 1) on DVD soon! Can't convince my hubby to get the channel for just one show. He has no idea. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteGreat job getting in your steps! I'm currently reading The Diamond Conspiracy by Pip Ballantine and Tee Morris. Lovely steampunk. And the bad guy reveal was awesome (I don't read anything about books ahead of time and had no clue who it was this time around until it was revealed very early in the book).
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed Kearsley's books in the past. I will look forward to your thoughts on this new one. Have a great week 7Happy Birthday to your son.
ReplyDeleteI should join your #FitReaders challenge because I hate to think how few steps I do!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you've summarised Inside The O'Briens there!
Jason has strong-armed me into watching Game of Thrones, but he let me start with last season. we're halfway through. And loving Outlander of course :)
