A weekly event hosted by Sheila from Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week. I love this meme, it helps me stay on track ... well, most of the time. Thanks Sheila!
In family news, Callum is home a bit earlier than planned in order to re-sit a uni exam, he had a fantastic time in SE Asia and can't wait to return. Things have been pretty manic here with Christmas shopping, making gifts and catching up with family and friends.
and the photos I promised

the large pine cones make great Christmas trees and I used the smaller ones to fill the sleigh
this was the first Christmas display I did on a sideboard in our dining room. The treasures below I've been making or putting together for a 2nd Christmas display in our lounge room instead of the big Christmas tree ... it's been lots of fun.

You show me all the awesomeness of your crafts and your holiday planning and I have trouble focusing on the books! LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful crafts. Must put What Alice Forgot into my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteI love the decorations! And i never thought to spray paint some pinecones. Noted for next year :-)
ReplyDeleteThey look great :D
ReplyDeleteI really want to read one of Rhainnon Hart's books; I couldn't get them in Canada but I shouldn't have that problem here!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny but when you put the Snyder and the Marie Lu books next to each other like that, it looks like they used the same rose only in different ways, doesn't it.
It's so much fun making your own decorations! I say that although I've never really had the opportunity to - but I'd really like to, because it looks like so much fun!
Your Christmas projects look wonderful! I loved What Alice Forgot so I'll be watching for your review. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteTaste of Darkness and Champion both look great. I've read tons of good reviews for both of them Enjoy! Your Christmas projects look great, btw.
ReplyDeleteTake a look at what I'm reading this week.
I enjoyed The Happiest a Refugee. We don't decorate here until the day after school finishes, that way the kids are kept amused :)
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific week,

Your holiday decorations are absolutely beautiful! You definitely have an artistic gift! I love the color scheme too.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you loved These Broken Stars too. I look forward to your thoughts on Taste of Darkness. I loved Touch of Power but haven't read the sequels yet.
I also loved What Alice Forgot....I haven't read anything by Marie Lu yet, but I'm very curious.
